Summary:
Taking back your life

I am nobody

nothing at all it seems

The wind and the rain
your punching bag
Pain carrier
Something you disdain

i know  you love me
I know you do
You say it again and again
Telling me of these burdens you carry
And all the things you do

Well that guilt is mine
It’s a pretty little prize

But it’s a curse to never be new
So i live my life of anger and rage
On a stage built just for you

I am nobody?!

Nothing?!

I  AM  THE WIND!

I  AM  THe RAIN!

Your punching bag?

Your pain carrier?

something you disdain?

I know you love me
I know you do
No more of these words you say
I won’t do it any more
Won’t bow my head in shame

Keep all that Angst you carry
And all those things you do

No guilt for me
that’s your’s to carry
I’ll take a different view
I won’t play our silly little game
AS IT’S A CURSE TO NEVER BE NEW!

So I’ll live this life, my life
I’ll take from it what I need
Draw the curtain
HERE I AM!

On a stage built just for me

    1. Powerfully penned, Bat. Another excellent write with lots of layers my friend. There are some really heavy undertones boiling beneath the surface on this one. Amazing read as always brother. Appreciate you.

    2. It’s empowering as hell, when we come to terms with our place in this lifetime. Strength has many avenues, fortitude and a will to write are two good ones. You possess those well.
      Good job here.

    3. This is such a powerful transformation from feeling invisible and carrying someone else’s pain to finally reclaiming your own identity and worth. I love the shift from “I am nobody” to “I AM THE WIND! I AM THE RAIN!”—it feels like watching someone find their voice in real time. And the stage imagery is perfect: what began as a performance for someone else ends with the speaker taking ownership of the stage and their life. “HERE I AM!” says everything. Powerful. 🖤
