They control the air we breathe
The food we eat, the water we drink
The ground we walk upon,
The time we spend
They control the thoughts of men
They control the swish of the pen
The powerlessness of people
Drives poets to write
They control our sleeping dreaming night
They feed us with myths and lies
The poet has no control
Their thoughts are all they have
They have nothing
But the thoughts inside their heart
Inside their blood inside their bones
The poet has nothing
But words controllers
Fail to control
