prayer

Bookmark
Summary:
faith
decorating the desolate
my pain floats away into the abyss
smile inside I'm still alive

the dark uttered sentence
but I’ve done my penance
suffer not the way
mercy over sacrifice
lest I boast

intensifying need bleeds pure
stumble just to stand
lying prostrate, I pray

parables of faith tumble from my lips
Psalms to soothe my ache
and hope to alleviate my fears

wandering into heaven at night when I sleep
gathering stars to me
so I shimmer even in the shadows

    1. Chère C.,
Looks like I am the 40th reader.
And I hope I may wish you a wonderful day.

May you start your day, as beautiful as you started mine. Love your poem, love your artwork.
It’s 4:10 in the morning, so I have plenty time to get used to the idea that Wednesday has started…

      Warm regards, Gus
