Hauntings in the Bayou – with Raven

HomeUncategorizedHauntings in the Bayou - with Raven
Summary:
Thank you Raven for sharing your ink with a scribbling poet.

Near the Bayou Lafourche, the longest muddy in town
The moss thick and heavy, hanging over the pulsing neon
Casting a shadow over shallow darken waters

I observe in silence
The night calls to me….
I’m meant to linger in spaces forgotten
Where growth remains untouched

“Get back. Get back where you belonged”
A ghost in a voice of evening song
But the past won’t let you stay

My thighs are thick and I run deep
I straddle spaces where names rot
The moon never fully claims me…so I wait
A soul yearning to coax blooms from decaying earth

A ghost in a voice of evening song
But the past won’t let you stay
Silencing the varnish
As lust creeps

“Get back. Get back where you belonged”
