Summary:
thank you dearest Adagio for writing with me ❤️
dreaded notion, your thoughts slithering through my soul
devoid of morality or care
a cavernous emptiness floods my core

reaping the monsters of your imagination
injecting my feelings with doubt
I’m a good person? right
no, I’m a good person

your fiends enter my thoughts
entertaining them against my will
until I can no longer tell
were they mine always?

insidious need, to see me brought low
the queen of obscenity
you whisper, hush;
now it will only hurt your innocence forever

so I bite my tongue
and swallow the venom
my body writhes in agony
but my mind is numb

I wonder who’s left
when the poison takes hold
but I know
you’ll be the one
to pick through the wreckage
and grin

I’ll be damned if I let you win
