it is in us all to want
something tangible we can see
but on the aether breathe
it is the spirit of love
that is a sigh or an exhale away
beginning with something as simple as a whisper
a piercing look or a smile
smouldering in you deeply, is desire
you're just awaiting a spark
lust burns and turns to flame
a carnivorous passion to fulfill our sexual urges
then in cold contempt turn away from it
still, the urge remains restless inside
with the need to escape if for but a moment
and really touch someone
you will no doubt with a declaration or a growl
feasting on the untouchable but obtainable...love
