Oya's Forgotten King

Kalenji Oba’Rai, Kalen to the modern world, was born an heir to a forgotten West African kingdom. Betrayed by his jealous brother and sold into slavery, he should have died chained in the belly of a ship. Instead, the ancient Makhosi ancestors remade him. His heart stopped, then rose eternal, turning him into something powerful, cold, and immortal. Kalenji died that night; the timeless guardian he became has walked the centuries ever since.
