Oh that we could live in peace
no lies,no greed,no one to fleece.
Accepting of each others lives
but told to carry guns and knives.
Our leaders stoke our primal fears,
they strut and sneer to gain more cheers.
And all the time the rich get more
yet few are left that will abhor.
Our captains’ antics, monarchs’ greed
They never give us what we need.
The weak, the poor might get a crumb
but only if they all stay shtum.

It’s delusional if we think we are not part of the problem.
It’s delusional if we think governments or churches or businesses will fix anything other than keeping the status quo intact.
Any uprisings will be quashed by what George Orwell called the Ministry of Truth. Its happening now in most western democracies.Facts and truth are discredited, denied and replaced with alternative facts and truths and we no longer know the difference.
AI will make it worse.Seeing will no longer be believing.
Welcome to Dystopia.

I can equate with a lot of what you’ve said. The rich will always get richer. And yet, if we go back through history we’d see the same things. As far as A.I. it will be both good and bad. Jobs will be lost and social media will become untrustworthy. We simply don’t know what’s real, and who’s real anymore.
Thanks for your reply…..the real problem with AI is it diminishes our ability to think but perhaps that’s not a bad thing.
Mind-opening and thought-provoking poem. Well done, Peter!
Thanks M.E…..everything I said is true but it’s not worth me getting angry about it.Doing so only gives the nasties a reason to gloat or worse, hunt me down.
