The Loud Whisper

HomePoetryThe Loud Whisper

I am the silence that can shout
A whisper loud, a voice without
I speak in hush that shakes the air
A thunder clothed in quiet prayer
No walls contain the echo’s flight
It dances through the edge of night
Unheard by ears, yet deeply known
A sound that chills the marrow bone
I’m absence filled with fierce intent
A screamed disguised as soft lament
My stillness breaks what noise conceals
Revealing truths that silence feels
I’m speech that hides behind the breath
A lullaby that sings of death
Yet in my hush, the soul will hear
The loudest truths that disappear
