Creaking sound of rusted latch
sleeping alone again, naturally,
only secrets would let her in
I should promise you
my last kiss of summer,
for winter’s kismet kites are grounded
strung by ice lifeguards
rescue is the warmth between thighs
Pearls for breasts, silver skin limbs
opening bones as ringed buttons,
head to honeysuckle hills
and I will follow…..
In way of poetry cliche, diamonds can be forever
and not only sunrise will rise at dawn
The jeweller for all our seasons
knows the reasons why gold is found in streams
and mined deeper than unmarked graves
