color me in shades of grey
streaks of blacks
blues that pulse in dyin veins
tiny specks of glowin whites
pretendin to be stars

take the color from my eyes
let them melt outa their sockets
vision drippin down my cheeks
a man made of moonless nights
in a dark that won’t unclench its teeth

feed me to the sun
let it blister beneath my skin
I want to feel myself unmakin
boil my blood
strip flesh from my bones
melt my throat closed
heat crawlin down my ribs
sizzle. crack. collapse

sweat to smoke
skin to scream
blood to steam
every breath pullin me apart
every nerve beggin me to unravel
my body slumps
too stubborn to stop burnin

what’s left of me caves
folds into the heat
til the shape doesn’t matter
bones saggin inward
skin drippin to the floor
a refusal to exist
grinnin in the ash
