My Krakatoa

HomePoetryMy Krakatoa

A decade back it happened
my very own Krakatoa.
The waves it threw
nearly took me under.
They have receded now.
Only ripple marks remain,
etched into my soul’s fibre,
a record of that old eruption
and a warning,
plain as scar tissue:

lt could happen again.

I think you might understand and I appreciate your comment.
