Lips of Thought

HomePoetryLips of Thought

The cup took a sip of my lips
The milk turns red
My lips of love potion and poison
They crash against your lips
And they crash against the tides
My thoughts buried, and dead

It comes to head, heart and hand
A tripwire of the mind
Ensnaring a memory in the flesh
Another in the dust
And another in the dark
Me and the sun

Passing by the exit door
And not missing the point
The pain in my heart did not rhyme with the pain in my mind
I drank from the cup, and I drowned.

      • Can’t imagine all the dangerous mundane things around us. From a bedpost to a Rubik’s cube…
Thanks, Fia for the love and support “)

    1. You had me at lips of love potion and poison.

Then you went and brought me into that deliciously brilliant mind of yours. Again. I always feel spoiled when you do that. Thank you 💋 You and the sun…that’s a burn worth the read.

      Mm hmm.
