HomePoetryHappy New Year 2026
Summary:
I could not leave the year without my thank you to all of you. a lot of you have migrated over from Dup and Writer's Cafe and I want to thank you. it is not easy creating a writing community, but it is worthwhile to be a part of this community of writers and Poets. wishing you all the best in 2026

There once was a rock that fell from the sky

Landing on a planet blue and green to the eye

Not knowing that there were people watching in awe

Seeing that this thing is not what they saw

For it was not a rock that fell from the sky

It was a star, to behold, for the human eye

And in the star it had a message to tell

That we all should be who we are meant to be

In this beautiful planet well

 There are the dark

There are the light

 There are the gray

Then there are those who enjoy the bite

Within all these subtleties that come with being who we are

 We should write down everything

and everything should be found

Stars Rite it’s the place to be

I want to thank all of you for being magnificent Stars so I can read

  2. A collection of lost pens arrived here. A community was borne of that collective. It takes many stars to light the skies, and many kinds. Happy New Year!

  3. I’m glad you are here and in charge, Fia. This turned out to be a great site. May all who visit this star leave with a wish to always come back again.

  4. I love how this starts as a simple falling rock and transforms into a star carrying a message. There’s a sweet, gentle wonder in your lines, and I like the way you celebrate all the shades of life while tipping a hat to Stars Rite. It feels heartfelt and luminous—like a small gift to readers.
