Graduation Nymph
Barefoot belle
Beams graduation grins
Tressed bouffant lady
Wades in fountain of light
Posing in graduation ruffles
Of ballerina tutu
Ribboned and sashed
In Greek sorority letters
For commencement ceremony photos
As water splashes in lyrical love melody
Murmurs of Ponce de León
In her youthful glow
Pink complexioned for photographer
In lattice of sunbeams
That sparkle on bubbly surface
Of liquid love
As she rises from sparkly bowl
Like Bathsheba from her bath
Seeking eternal luster
From the Goddess of ageless beauty
As misty droplets fall
Like soft summer rain
In the Maidenhood of life

Sexy! Poetic brilliance John. Nice work!!!
Deep gratitude, Visions, my friend! I took the bus to the college campus. They were having a commencement ceremony there and when I walked to the fountain in the quadrangle a lady was posing in the fountain for graduation photos. And this poem was born. 🙂

Deep gratitude Damian. Glad you enjoyed my glimpse of one of our college’s graduation ladies. Seeing this scene today was an unexpected but delightful surprise.
