They say it was written in the stars.
I say I want to write with them
I want to fly up
on my magic carpet of
shimmering garnets
submerge my vial of fingertips.
with their luminous essence
and write upon a
page of onyx so
smooth and black
my fingers just
glide along for
an imprinted ride
of infinite black slate
each seared poem a
glimmering fingerprint
a dot of time
creating lines
and roadmaps
captured destinations
living liquid floatations
my space constellations
that won’t dry or fade
but never to be lost
in its beauty
I will always find
my way back home
to my mother earth
where I will
spread my seeds
of ashen bone
nourishing a
flourishing of
lush rich grass
a strong foundation
for my future
dynasty generations
to gaze upon and read
my Galaxy of Poetry

I don’t remember this one? It’s awesome! I like the liberation that it implies, because creative writing is indeed a form of freedom. This is a very strong write, Del. I can see why you love it so. As do I!
I’m so happy to see you posting in here. As some others are as well, I’m sure!
Smooch!
Yeah, I think I posted it on DUP before you were there. It was one of those writes that wrote itself.
I had the title. Just needed to write it. Thanks for you snaps on this write:)
You are wonderful:). Smooch!
Beautifully penned, Adel. Excellent write, again your imagery is crisp and precise. Appreciate you.
Damian
Hey Damian! Thank you. I’m trying to be online more. It’s been a busy year.
Thank you for stopping by. It is appreciated!
I love how this poem blends cosmic imagery with the deeply personal act of creation. The idea of writing with stars, leaving luminous fingerprints on an infinite slate, beautifully captures the timelessness and universality of poetry. It feels both expansive and grounded, as if the cosmos and the earth are woven together through the poet’s words.
Sometimes when I listen to music it gives me images and I was listening to The Black Keys the song was called Little Black Submarines. It inspired everything for this write!
Thank you for such a wonderful comment
