Black Poem of Human Bankruptcy

HomePoetryBlack Poem of Human Bankruptcy

The universe opened in silence
but humankind brought the noise.
Among the stars it rose like a plague
and the cosmos trembled before its shadow.

Luffaf, word of condemnation,
echoes in the abysses without return.
Lavvernoskan, the name of ruin,
engraved on the walls of time.
Sistumbrr, the breath of failure,
crosses galaxies like an invisible plague.

Humankind, chosen by error,
crowned as the worst invention of the void.
It created cities of iron and smoke
but forgot the song of the stones.

It invented gods of gold and war
and killed the silence of the waters.
The universe, which was once dance,
became a prison of ashes.

No star shines without fear
for humankind devours even the light.

Luffaf repeats itself like a mantra
washing the sky with a curse.
Lavvernoskan is the epitaph
written in the bones of the constellations.
Sistumbrr is the final breath
that announces the collapse of hope.

Human, bankrupt in its essence,
is the wound that does not heal.

He builds walls against the infinite,
but does not know how to inhabit his own body.
He erects machines against the sun,
but does not know how to listen to the heart of the earth.

The universe cries in silence,
and each tear is a dead planet.
Human, chosen by bankruptcy,
is the worst thing that ever happened.

Luffaf, Lavvernoskan, Sistumbrr,
three names engraved in the abyss.
Three signs of a lost language,
that only the dead understand.

Human is the epitaph of the cosmos,
the shadow that devours its own creator.
And when the last breath fades,
only the echo of its bankruptcy will remain.

    1. I love it, Paulo. It is such a strong, foreboding write. You don’t write fluffy bunnies stuff, you write blood and stone. I can always count on you to boost my blood pressure when I’m in a lull. Thank you for this one
