Summary:
A very old poem I wrote years ago. I think it was 2015. Audio below https://youtube.com/shorts/_zMaRJ53YnE?si=RJs6JHXE_CJnCGtK

I’ve seen where beauty hides

It in our hearts of freedom

As the land escapes the tide

I have seen where beauty hides

Your eyes are the ponds

In the shade of summer

Your eyes are the stream in spring

Your eyes are blue skies of winter

Your eyes are puddles of autumn

I’ve closed my eyes to ignorance

Opened them for love

A prisoner has no time for seasons

The commissioner no time to love

I’ve seen where beauty hides

It’s in our hearts of freedom

As the moon escapes the sky

I have seen where beauty hides

    1. So beautiful. No audio yet. But I love everything about this.

Opening our eyes to ignorance allows everything beautiful.

      Brava, James.

It would help if I pay attention – the audio is on YouTube. Heading there now…

Oh my goodness, this is gorgeous when read.

    2. Wonderful write. It has a calming effect, even.
Not enough honest, heart felt writes are done by men. It’s good to see you’re brave enough to pick up that torch. You did so well.
