Musings In a Full Moon Night

A walk in the forest

In the forest we walk hand in hand

Bitter-sweet bird song of love and despair

And the scent of flowers linger in the air

I feel like in a fairytale wonderland

On  a cosy mossbed we take a seat

You recite a poem you wrote for me

Deep I look in your eyes and hope you see

My love for you, eternal and sweet

You are my favorite poet, I swear

Before my gentle kiss seals your lips

I caress your face with my fingertips

You hold me in your arms with loving care

The velvety night is already falling

À pale full moon is about to rise

Trembling I step back and apologize

Sorry, I want to go, I heard a wolf calling

I will protect you and hold you tight

You calm me down and take my hand

I say, dear, you don’t understand

The beast calls for me in the twilight

A wolf is howling in the distance

Suddenly dense fog is rolling In

Don’t worry, you say and stroke my skin

Let me, I insist, it’s your last chance!

My talons sink deep into your back

Threatened you look into my yellow eyes

I could eat you up, dear, I don’t tell lies

I whisper, before I bite your neck

    1. Well damn! I wasn’t expecting that ending!
(The moon was bad ass that night, wasn’t it!)
The rhymes bind the lines together really well. It was a very sweetly carried poem, until you devour your beau! LOL.
      Awesome read!

      • Thank you very much for your wonderful comment and your appreciation, my friend. Tuesday night I watched lady Moon, she looked pretty innocent, impossible to blame my badass fantasy on her. 🤣
