Thanks so much for reading and your kind words, Fia. So glad you connected with the write my friend. I went through it many times in this life, but the teenage angst in me always went for the jugular. lol. Well, 17 year old me smiled inside, and said thank you. He never thought he was the bees knees if you know what I mean. lol. Appreciate you.

Pretty deep thought for a 17yo to be considering the inevitability of death. Seems the art of poetry & philosophy started young for you. In my experience the general emo trends of the 90’s facilitated my poetic curiosity. It’s fun to read my own teenage writes but I’ve not been brave enough to share from that far back even with editing. 😝 ha! I didn’t have your level of skill at 17, though. Kudos!

Thanks so much for reading and your kind words, Ruby. So glad you connected with the write my friend. I was pretty angry at the world at 17, not that my attitude has improved much since those days, as far as the world is concerned. I started at 14 or 15 yrs old. I would turn 18 a couple of months after writing this one. I started out trying to write Hair Metal lyrics, they were horrible and I would never share them with anyone. We all start somewhere, Ruby. Appreciate you.

Thanks so much for reading and your kind words, Mary. So glad you dig the lyrics my friend. I just realized today that I was better than I gave myself credit for, I’m my own worst critic. lol. I think all writers are that way though, we hold ourselves to our own high standards. My biggest problem was I never took time to appreciate what I was doing, that’s something maturity brings for sure. Thanks for your continued support. Appreciate you.

From our first breath until the last, we’re marching to the grave. But what we do in the interim…ah, that’s where it gets interesting. I did a quick math check & it tells me that I am only 5 years older than you. I remember these feelings at that age. A friend once told me “Girl, you do morbid so well!” Even at 17 you had vision & rhythm. And the evolution was so worth the journey to who you are, my friend

Thanks so much for reading and your kind words, Willow. So glad you connected with these old lyrics my friend. No way, everybody used to say that about me as well. I was morbid or dark, because I questioned authority or why us humans do what we do. Glad to know I wasn’t alone my friend. You’re much too kind, but it’s nice to hear anyhow. lol. Appreciate you.

Brilliantly penned, Fia. Into the book it belongs! This was incredible storytelling, and I even welled up with tears, I knew that the Butterfly and professor was a metaphor for something really going on. Powerful ending, the foreshadowing was precisely executed. Thank you for sharing. Appreciate you.

Powerful words, Damian! Especially in these weird times, your words seem to be at least as meaningful as 11 years ago. A great and timeless work!

Still very relevant to these times. It’s always a trip to look back and see how similar things can be.

Do you ever go back & read old writings & wonder how things change so much & yet it’s still the same? You could have written this yesterday & it would still be as relevant as it was then. Viewed from an introspective perspective, this is a hammer. In regards to the world, my friend, you’re a prophet

Thanks so much for reading and your kind words, Willow. So glad you connected with these old lyrics my friend. It’s haunting sometimes, actually. Especially when I think of where my life was at in 2014. I was an alcoholic whose day were numbered if something didn’t change. This was kinda a short lived hope spot. The idea of working with J.J. again, always brought my spirts up. We never got creative closure because we were always so far away from each other. Doesn’t look like it will ever happen, life gets in the way. We still talk to this day. That may have been the nicest compliment ever, the whole prophet angle, it means a lot to me my friend. Thank you! and Appreciate you.

The mind can be a technicolor bitch. Feast or famine, sometimes feeding us delusions & others smacking us with a solid dose of reality. Which after the delusion can be very jarring. And chaos can make for some hella good creative moments. So when it goes quiet…holy shit, now what? Keep on top of the beast, eyes open & ride it out, my friend

Thanks, Mary. Oh, I couldn’t agree more, Willow is an exceptional lady and gifted writer. She’s a kindred spirt to me, we seem to agree on a lot of things going on it the world. That sounds like her, telling you Survivorship deserves a capital “S”. She is an amazing erotica writer. I was floored the first time I read one of her erotic writes. I totally agree my friend. Appreciate you.

Thanks so much for reading and your kind words, Duende. So glad you enjoyed the interview my friend. She does deserve to be in the SpotLight. She is all the things you say she is, but I obviously I don’t need to tell you that. I’m glad these interviews make you smile my friend, that makes my heart happy. I appreciate you too.

Willow underestimates her erotic prowess. Such humility! I love her poetry, and I’m confident that she’s already established her legacy. She’s a feminist on the front line. Her sword is the pen. She tackles the tough stuff that many shy away from.
A really good interview, Damian

Thanks so much for reading and your kind words, Meg. So glad you enjoyed the interview my friend. She is a kindred spirit, we think a lot a like. Gifted writer indeed, yes I have read her erotic writes, she does underestimate herself I agree. If I were in an argument I want her on your side. lol. Appreciate you.

You have no idea how often I hit that bookmark & then cuss like my sailor uncle when it doesn’t work…again. Consider it in my damn book though! You ask questions in these that make us pause & really think about who we are & why we are who we are. Such an incredible thing! Thank you for selecting me for the Spotlight before the lights went out Underground. New chapter…I look forward to where you take us next, my friend
And to the ladies in the comments…thank you doesn’t even cut it. 🧡

Willow, I was waiting for you to read the comments on this one. You’ve definitely made an impression on these ladies. You’ve made that same impression on me. You’re not only a gifted writer, but a wonderful lady, my friend. It was an honor to interview you, I’m just glad you said, yes. lol. I always want my guests to feel at home, and simply be themselves, be authentic. Your support of the show, and me, really means the world to me my friend. Appreciate you.
