    Katrina II

Dear listeners, An older coop this time. And a very interesting coop as well, if I may say so. Kozo wrote the lyrics. And what a beautiful place of work it is. She knew, with wisdom beyond her age, that with...

    • Hi

I really liked how you expressed the hurricane Katrina, I was in Beaumont when it hit. I was doing my Masters.

How much do you manage. For me life with husband is most prestigious because he enters the life after we become adult. And parents are always with you in any terrible situation. Kids stay with us still we end. I was in depression yesterday why i am suffering i see my own happiness in that suffering which has become routine.

      • Hi U.,
        Hope this finds you well.
Thank you for your kind hearted reply!
Hope your Wednesday will be beautiful and sun shiny!
        Kind regards, Gus

    • Hi Gus,

I listened to this in my car during lunch today!
The guitar in this is amazing, the whole song really.
      Rock on!

      • Chère A.,
        Lovely to hear from you!

A small technical hiccup prevents me from doing what I promised.
        To post our coop.
A few days patience and I’ll have solved it.

Don’t worry. Your vocals are just fine!

        This is an older coop.
And a very successful one too.
It has harvested some 16.000 listens, part of it pre Covid.

Kozo asked to rattle windows and doors. And I loved doing my best to get that effect.
Grateful for your time to listen and reply.
Warm greetings from Springlike (at long last) Amsterdam, Gus

    • This is amazing you two. OMG I love it

      • Chère F.,

        Sorry:
I don’t like contradicting you, but:
        Lyrics: Kozo Pinkwillow
        Voice: Chris Spruit
        Backing and mixing: Gus

May I ask you to ask me (as Drieks opened one of her fantastic songs) what I would love to be possible in StarsRite?
That’s a corner for real (not AI) self written songs. Or coops between StarsRite writers? Like this one.
With the tsunami of other posts in audio & video, coops like this disappear in no time from the radar.

And some songs like the upcoming and lovely one with Adelphine deserve a better fate.
Thank you for your listen and your work for StarsRite!
        Warme greetings, Gus

        • Hi Gus, sorry for my assumption. the song is still amazing. Since the site is growing, we will discuss adding more to the site. It does take time. We take all request and suggestions seriously.;))

    The Weight of Death

It feels like such a shameall that laughter, conversation, all those ordinary afternoons together. They just lowered him into the groundlike a basket of rotting bread, carefully, as if it still mattered. I hate death. He’s so selfish -he arrives already decided, and leaves everything...

    • I’m with you dearest Tim I hate death, the look of it, the feelings it brings the unfairness, I was watching a nature program about a grizzly cub and it’s mom she led him high into the snowy mountains but the incline was too steep for the cub he tried so many times to follow her just to land on the rocks below to die it made me cry it was unfair… great write ❤️

      • Wow, that sounds awful. Even animals can be unobservant to their young, I guess. Thanks for the comment, Crimsin.

    • This is deep.
Death is unfair and painful for loved ones. It absolutely feels unfinished.
      Great perspective Tim.

    • Powerfully penned, Tim. Another great write my friend. We all fear death. Appreciate you.

    • This feels tender in its grief. The simplicity makes the hurt more real.

    Strangers Camp in the Mind

    • You speak of a bizarre situation. If it’s not dementia than it’s paranoia. That can be hard to deal with, especially when moving to another state is seriously considered. Definitely a case for stress for the one who has to listen to it all. Good one, Thomas.

    • Oh wow, I swear I know these people. Unfortunately, in the case of mine, they’re not fully imagining things. When a bit of real harassment is lad down, it builds on a mind until everything becomes subject to suspect. It sucks for those observing and listening, but more so for them. Solid write here

    • I enjoy writes that are unexpected and take you on a journey.
Good or bad. This write is excellent. I personally loved

      Patience like a prayer,
      thinking until my brain bruises.

This whole piece is pretty awesome, bizarre and all.

    • “But then they glance at me.
      And those eyes cut through.
Like I’m part of it now.”

Hauntingly penned, Thomas. Another excellent write with amazing storytelling my friend. The verse above gave me goosebumps. It’s always feels like we’re on a journey in your stories. Nicely done as always. Appreciate you.

    • Footsteps that do not belong to the house are a rupture, not necessarily danger,
but a shift in the contract between space and silence.
They mark the moment when architecture stops being loyal.

      Appreciate you!
