I did it in high school one day with a friend. We kicked a can in the front of the school in pouring rain and kids were watching from the windows. He’s since passed away so I’ll always remember that day being glad we did it. 🙂
And yeah, us kids also ran in yards in the rain leaving our parents aghast. lol

Tim, this read like a man on a quest to find the joy he once had. You took this metaphor and flew with it my friend. I could visualize the old red jacket in the trunk and you finding it and looking in the pockets for what once was. Truly great work.
