I have been known…a time or 2…to go chasing. But generally, I stick to the porch with an unobstructed path to shelter at my back. Been in the tornado belt too long to not respect them. In this case, it chased us. First we knew was the sound of what seemed to be an airplane through the living room, followed by huge crashes. When I say we had a tree all over our yard, parts were in the front, parts along the side & part was in back. Big house, lots of ground to cover. We were very lucky. Thank you for stopping by

Right from the X posts to the Headlines. Radical right meets radical left – everyone in between pays the price! I’m going to end here but I’m coming back with a link to one I wrote.

Thanks so much for reading, Paula. This write is just an observation, it’s not about left or right, blue or red, donkey or elephant to me. It’s more good vs. evil in my opinion. It’s about wealthy vs. poor. Most politicians are owned by someone, a corporation, a wealthy 1% family. Sure I used the word leftist, but it can be whatever at the end of the day. But that was the flavor I was going for was money and power equals no accountability. Appreciate you.

Damian great write but the buffoons that run the world aren’t listening.
Too busy making money by any means possible.
Lies have become the truth and truth lies.
Orwell saw it coming.-
Thanks so much for reading and your kind words, Peter. So glad you connected with the write my friend. I agree they aren’t listening, and making billions. We’re going to have Trillionaire’s soon, corruption is all that’s trickling down in the end. It is topsy-turvy, everything has been turned on it’s head. Appreciate you.

It doesn’t surprise me that rich people try to screw over the poor. What surprises me is how many people are so happy to get screwed while complaining that they have hard lives. They want war. They want blood because some people disagree or just tell them reality. It’s wild.

I believe this one will only continue to become more relevant as long as they wealthy hold the keys to freedom. Unfortunately. An reverse Robin Hood situation we got going on. I swe things happening & quietly write down my suspicion on their next crime. I wish I wasn’t right so often. And you…prophet. I hope it’s not too late & the scales can still be tipped, my friend

Thanks so much for reading and your kind words, Willow. So glad you connected with the write my friend. I couldn’t agree with you more. It is Robin Hood in reverse. The world has gone all topsy-turvy lately, the lines are blurred. I wish I wasn’t right so often, actually I would loved to be proved wrong on a lot of things. I hope so as well my friend. Appreciate you.

hello beautiful Willow this was a twist I didn’t know where you were going it’s very clever and relateable I had to clean my dad’s grandfather clock when naughty 💕

Brilliantly penned, Willow. Into the book it belongs! Amazing storytelling my friend, I can relate. Not that I got in trouble a lot, but when I did, not a fun time by any means of the imagination. Excellent work, as always. Appreciate you.

I love “old timey” pieces. It brings back the good ol days, even if we didn’t know that they were, then. I would’ve preferred the chair over the usual ass whuppin.
But eh, I survived.
It’s always interesting to me how others lived and dealt with their own upbringings. This was a wonderful story indeed. I raised my kids on “time out” instead of spankings, as your story reflects. It’s a better choice.
Very entertaining write, Willow. Bravo.-
Don’t get too cozy in the “old timey” corner. I’m all over the map these days. Who knows where it will take me next?
Yeah, my girl was raised on time out too. Little rascal knew exactly when she was about to land there too. Look me right in the eye & say “I go to time out now?” Good kid…that girl gave me side aches holding in the laughter.
Thank you for the visit. Good to see you roaming the new halls

Well, that was an event, and I think you still did not pass that bulb since you still light up my friend. Enjoyed this piece. Oh, I do not like tomatoed based baked beans either. lol

I enjoyed this from beginning to end. I’d say your grandmother is still keeping an eye on you, my friend. She must know something…

Some of the best writing you have ever shared with us. Sensational and held my interest. Nice work Damian.

I thoroughly enjoyed this story, Damian. I love the simplistic history that makes us all humans deep down, no matter if we try to hide it.
I have very vivid memories of one of my grannies. She was a tiny firecracker. Snap a chicken’s neck and yet tend to our little boo-boos with TLC with the same hand.
Burger Chef rocked!
Wonderfully vivid write, it kept me enthralled.-
Thanks so much for reading and your kind words, Mark. So glad you enjoyed the story my friend. Cool, somebody remembers Burger Chef. lol. It is the simple things in our histories, that really show our similarities as human beings, couldn’t agree with you more. Grannies, are just different, in a good way. Appreciate you.

I love watching a good storm roll in but I have never fully subscribed to the “go try and spot the tornado” mentality. I have too much respect for those storms to want to watch that happen in real time. I’ll settle for seeing that through my cameras.
Right before a thunderstorm starts though and the wind is picking up. That’s ideal to stand in the middle of.
