Love the feel of this. Reminds me of this song by S&G…..https://video.search.yahoo.com/search/video?fr=mcafee&p=poem+on+the+underground+simon+and+garfunkel&type=E210US752G0#id=2&vid=6df47f303922526d0faa70e1eaeed172&action=click

Thank you J. Flattered. Song is universal.
Work this out. I’m Welsh first, British second and my beautiful Dad was English. We’re a complicated bunch across the Atlantic. I stand against the heinous Empire and her jingoistic bs. Other than that, I’m very easy going. Lol. This song / anthem is central to my poetic heart. Subtitles are provided!

This poem is beautifully vivid and cinematic. I love how you blend the quiet of the night, the train platform, and motion with personal reflection. The imagery of film and landscape creates a strong, lingering atmosphere – really well done.

I was drawn into the surreal, haunting imagery – the stunning contrast between the “sweet as rain” “taste of life and the suffocating pressure of the high-backed chair” and found myself suspended between horror and wonder. Beautifully dark. I love this.
