    The Repatriation of Shards

The Repatriation of Shards   What shall become of us now we    are broken .. Two parts of one whole, with each of our shards both    fragmented and torn, like twin pages lifted and pulled,    from some ancient book perhaps .. And...

    • Like the innocence of it

    • Well I’m no ornithologist, but I think I’m usually woken up by pigeons. I doubt that’s quite as nice as being woken by doves but it still has its charms. This was so simple but really helped create the scene.

      • Many thanks for taking time out to visit my little scribble Green .. So very much appreciated .. warmest Regards, Neville 😎👍

    • There’s both humiliy and happiness in these gentle words. Many thanks for sharing your skill, sir.

    • Must learn to spell, forgive, please.

    • I had two nests of mourning doves outside my bedroom window twice in one year. To hear that cooing they do, is absolutely one of the most melodious sounds I have ever heard. It was so wonderful to watch them gather material for their little home in a trellis. I was fortunate to get some really good shots of both parents and babies close up, without a flinch of movement. They beautiful birds, so underrated. I have the photos posted at the WC on my profile page if you’d like to see them! Much enjoyed the read, and seeing you here, Nev. Take care!

    • How cool was that .. Bless you Kelly .. Neville

    Ode to the Shape Shifter

When I'm restless Turn me into a cat So I can curl up on your lap   When I'm low  Turn me into a raven So I can fly above the hills   When night is dull Turn me into a moth So I can dance around the flames   Turn...

    • I’ve known people like this. It’s like a hunger they can’t sate, always be moving & seeing & going new places. Almost like it’s spiritual for them. I know a guy who literally hops & trains & goes where it takes him. This one made me smile 😊

    • Write on brother .. & always .. Neville 😎👍

    • Thank you, my friend.

    • Thank you, my friend. I appreciate it.

    • Beautifully penned, Thomas. Excellent write, the story of the traveler. Appreciate you.

    • I admit to having a bit of that hobo spirit in me. If not for the dedication I feel toward loved ones, I might have been a wanderer. You capture the phenomenon well.

    • I was once this boy. Always on the move. Never settling down. You have the quintessential poet’s gift of telling the story of your characters with deep understanding and empathy. This spoke to me deep down about years gone by.

    Fear of Falling

Fear of Falling   As autumn begins, might this be    the very end of us ..   For today tho’ we cling or we climb to long    limbs and strong boughs ..   Come tomorrow, we may fly, dance, or fall    alone with the wind ..

    • Superb work, my friend.

    • I love the imagery in this. And the sense of last blast desperation to live in the moment. Welcome to the Stars

      • You are most kind Willow thank you so much for stopping to consider my little scribble .. Kindest Regards .. Neville

    • Prophetic. The fragility of it all.
      A moving piece.
      Regards James

    • so wistful a thought I still sense a deep longing in you over this person 💕

    • In my opinion, if we made it through the heat and humidity of summer. We will make it through Autumn… yet, we can’t deny how Autumn inspires sentimental feelings. I read this as a lullaby of Autumn, there is sadness as there is hope, there is doubt yet there is freedom… Good Morning dear Neville 🌻
