    Chapter 14: The White Queen

The rain had stopped. The only reminders of it now were small puddles on the still-wet waterproofing of the flat roof of the high-rise building and gray clouds racing off into the distance. The sky on the horizon began...

    Chapter 13: Control

The rain intensified and drummed loudly on the windows. Drops quickly penetrated the house through the poorly closed window and formed a rapidly spreading puddle on the floor. Entering the apartment and noticing this, Mikhail cursed and commanded irritably: “Turn...

    • You feel the weight of sadness in this one. pretend it is not a knock at a window. Shows how alone you felt

      • The ending, I changed at the last minute, and you pictured it perfectly. Thanks for letting me know that it hits.
        And you keep kicking butt!

    • It’s just creative writing Brenda, I promise! I try to mix up the subjects and such. I don’t want to be too predictable!

    • Hello Tim!
This is not current event material. I’m mixing up my subject matter here and there, so as not to be too typical, yaknow?
Sometimes I read something and it inspires me to write my own thing from it. I get motivated by reading!

    • Thanks Damian. Me and Del are good! I just like to take my writing in different directions, like most of us do. I’m always learning and adapting, I hope.

    • But you are in my head when I write. When are you NOT in my head? LOL. I was going back and forth on this one, as far as how lyrical to make it. I forget what song I was listening to, that got me going on it. But eh, I’m leaving it as is for a bit. You know me!
And you know that I love you too babydoll. Smooch!
