A shadow-born whisper, the phrase itself feels like a seed of myth, half curse, half invocation, sprouting in the dark soil of secrecy. A living emblem of power and paradox… The serpent coils around the hidden flame, a covenant etched in shadows and bone, from silence it blooms, a forbidden crown.

Outstanding piece of writing Pinkdreams. I never walked into a Publix, since there not located in the NY tri-state area. Your memories and description of this store is unbelievable. The poem was done so well that as I began reading it, I knew and felt we were in the early to mid 70’s. The photo is also an extra bonus. As we get older, certain places and landmarks disappear. Our memories may fade a bit as well. At the same time, a certain item or smell may bring us back and reboot memories that were stuck somewhere in our brains decades ago. Nice work.

I’ve never been able to define love. The romantic concept of love is our BS…mostly.
For me,love is characterised by selflessness (but not always). The ability to put someone else’s needs before your own.Love comes from the most unexpected places.Like, doing the laundry, cleaning the bathroom, sharing the load.
It’s nice to know that others, like yourself, are not afraid to ask what love is.
I read something once that said:
Love is the absence of Fear.
Fear is the absence of Love.
