    • Love the fact you guys had a record.
I can see where the bass could have been played with the pain the pain, the pain
      Good write here.

      • Thanks so much for reading and your kind words, Fia. So glad you connected with the lyrics my friend. I used AI to make the artwork. We had a few tracks on a cassette at one time. lol. I can’t remember the music to this one anymore, the lyrics are all that remain. Appreciate you.

    • Great lyrics. You can feel the suffering within the worlds. I always like a good collaboration.

    • This reminds me so much of my early writing. Back when I was accused of being morbid. It comes as it comes, doesn’t it? Sign of a great collaboration when you can no longer remember who wrote what. This one stirs in the back of my mind. Out of curiosity, how many songs/lyrics does your catalog contain? Im looking forward to seeing more, my friend

      • Thanks so much for reading and your kind words, Willow. So glad you connected with the lyrics my friend. Our lives mirror each other a lot, is what I’m thinking. I was accused of the same. It became my calling card. lol. It was only my second collaboration ever. Quite a few actually, now not all of them got music, I usually tell that in the summary. At one time I kept count of possible ideas. I had over 500 when I stopped keeping count. Now not all are great, some I won’t share because I’m not the person who penned those songs anymore. And I was in a horrible place, it’s actually painful to read some of them. A writer leaves breadcrumbs in their work. As a writer I tend to document my life. lol. Appreciate you.

  • Heartstrings

It is I again. Some of you may have noticed I often say, “ This pulls at my heartstrings.” There is a reason behind that by the way. I know it’s a saying, folks. But it has a different...

I’m invested now, thanks for sharing…

      • Thanks so much for reading and your kind words, Fred. So glad you connected with the story my friend. There are 11 more chapters already written and posted. lol. But I’m adding more stories to them as they come to me. Appreciate you.

    • Thanks so much for reading and your kind words, Mary. So glad you connected with the story my friend. It did take a while to get here. Over 30 years off and on, we worked together. I think I had to get sober to notice what was really going on, while I was drinking I let it slide, probably because he was also my drinking buddy. I mean I knew he could be a real prick and he was becoming less of the person I knew in the beginning. We both had demons, I chose to slay mine. Thanks so much for the continued support my friend, I think you’re one of the few really following. Appreciate you.

    • Side note, im reading through this & thinking…Pisces. So similar to my Pisces daughter in many ways. Pisces are some of my favorite people. Joey…I’ve met people like him. Singularly focused with no real touch on the human aspect of the people they’re around. As my daughter would “Dude don’t know how to read the room.” It works for him, can’t conceive of anyone else being different. I can’t even imagine the feeling it must give you when people sing your song in the audience. I would be over the moon & grinning like a madwoman. Always enjoy the Damian journeys, my friend. Keep ’em comin’

      • Thanks so much for reading and your kind words, Willow. So glad you enjoyed the story my friend. Once you know a Pisces, you’ll see we all truly do have a lot of the same quirks. Worse yet, I’m a triple Pisces!! Add addiction into the mix, which all Pisces are highly susceptible to. Joey G, is singularly focused. The last thing I ever said to him verbally, I called him a fucking narcissist! Then hung up on him. lol. Can’t read a room for sure. lol. He was the frontman of “clusterfuck” so he had to sing my words, while obliging to the audience request. It was glorious, an unbelievable feeling to see that reaction to something I wrote. Always enjoy your commentary. Appreciate you.

    • This sounds like a deal with the devil to me. Good job, Damian.

      • Thanks so much for reading and your kind words, Alexandria. So glad you connected with the write my friend. You’re pretty spot on, it’s also talking about the spiritual war inside one’s soul. Appreciate you.

    • Reminds me of an internal struggle.

      Great ink

      • Thanks so much for reading and your kind words, Nick. So glad you connected with the write my friend. Definitely some of that in there, with a little reference to the Crossroads. Appreciate you.

    • Im probably well off track with this one, but this is where it took me. Feel free to shove me off the track if I’m wrong. It brings to mind corruption & how weaker minds believe what they want to hear because it benefits them in some way. Thing about greed & corruption is it’s a disease that needs constant feeding. It grows on itself until it becomes a monster. But they don’t see the monster until it’s too late. The fine print is always key, my friend

      • Thanks so much for reading and your kind words, Willow. So glad you connected with the write my friend. No, you’re pretty spot on. A lot of my writes have multiple possibilities, I’m not always loyal to a subject, like my brain it’s a lot of moving parts. lol. My whole life, I’ve been told I’m multifaceted, I didn’t always see it myself. But after years of being told, I see it more over time. It is always in the fine print, and is always key. Appreciate you.

      • Thanks so much for reading and your kind words, Fia. So glad you connected with the write my friend. My father always considered himself a jack of all trades. Sometimes I think I am. lol. Appreciate you.

    • What an excellent write my friend. “Lies are a cancer that slowly kills the soul” that last line is the gospel…..

      • Thanks so much for reading and your kind words, Fred. So glad you connected with the write my friend. I dig that line as well. Appreciate you.

    • “Careless whispers spoken with a poison tongue…”

That is a powerful line right there! You set the tone with a hammer & then carried it home with a solid landing. A piece like this really needs no explanation. Damn, my friend…

      • Thanks so much for reading and your kind words, Willow. So glad you connected with the write my friend. To use a baseball saying, “It felt good as soon as it left the bat.” Sometimes a writer knows. lol. I loved that line as well. Appreciate you.
