It’s like Tom Sawyer Comes of Age! LOL. Why should you have backed out? Maybe you better not answer that. Anyway, it all sounds fantastically romantic, and I love the rough, woodsy imagery and casual intimacy. An epic poem about an epic experience, Thomas.

That’s super fascinating history, Damian. I don’t really follow Black Sabath, but I am familiar with that particular tune. I’m stunned that Ozzy never wrote lyrics. The dude was super fortunate to hang around people who did.

Sabbath is one of the most influential bands on earth. Whether you like Ozzy or Dio or Tony Martin, All of their line ups are special. Except the last album they did titled “13”. That’s pure shit!!
Nice work here Damian. Your a talent..Truly.-
Thanks so much for reading and your kind words, Keith. So glad you enjoyed the story my friend. I agree, each lineup had its appeal. “13” was not that great. Especially when in comparison with the last record they did with RJD. Under the “Heaven & Hell” moniker. That was a killer album. Appreciate you.

I never knew that about Ozzy. I always loved how unapologetic he was. He was just being him and that is that.
Great write

Thanks so much for reading and your kind words, Nick. So glad you liked the story my friend. Yeah, he attempted writing lyrics a couple of times. He’s no Geezer Butler. However he did write the vocal melodies. I’m a fan of him, that’s just the facts when it comes to what he contributes to songwriting. Appreciate you.

So another case of the unexpected stealing the show & in this case, saving the day! Maybe record labels should start letting the music makers do their thing & see much it nets their infamous gawdawful bottom line. Gah…another intriguing story, my friend

I’ve always enjoyed the voices that have gravel in their DNA. This is a little different for you but still 100% you. And brilliant! Love seeing all the facets in different light, my friend

Thanks so much for reading/listening and your kind words, Willow. So glad you enjoyed the performance my friend. It took me almost 15 years to be comfortable enough to share these pieces. I have three more, but I can’t find the words to them. lol. I was not in the best place in those recordings, I was drinking like a fish, which makes sense being that I’m a Pisces. lol. But it was different, because I was different. I was not the person I am now. But I’m not afraid to be me anymore, so why sit on the material. Appreciate you.

Damian!!! Oh Damian, this is….. Wow, it’s not often I’m rendered speechless. I like the transition from your voice to the death growl. Very masculine, very sexy. It’s like that old saying, “two sides of the same coin” I think that applies here…maybe, lol. Same person, two different sides of him but they have the common goal of being released. The death growl was the cherry on top of this beautiful piece. I applaud you my friend! xx

Thanks so much for reading/listening and your kind words, P.G. So glad you enjoyed this piece. It does have a, Dr. Jekyll, Mr. Hyde kinda vibe. Glad you loved the growl, very cool. At one time in history it was kinda frowned upon by the masses to death growl growing up. Times change or so they say. Appreciate you.

Nice work, sir. I will write more later (I got here in a weird way and wasn’t going to leave a review at all, but I saw at the bottom of this piece there was your audio file — with another that has this piece read (horribly) by an AI voice. You can leave it if you wish, or you can delete it by adding “excludetx” as another tag on the page where you added this piece to your pages. In any case, I’ll be back when I can spend more time here. As a for
Former performance artist and now a humble poet (well, at least, a poet), I want to enjoy this at my leisure.

Thanks so much for reading and your kind words, Mary. So glad you like these stories my friend. It’s therapeutic for me, helps me understand where the wheels fell off at certain points in time. My first portrayals of Joey G, were always in a negative light. Guess I was still mad, still am sometimes. But as I dug deeper I realized I couldn’t tell an accurate story without showing some good times every now and then. Little glimpses where we got it right, even if only for a bit. Appreciate you.
