    The Symphony

The Symphony Art, and the pursuit of beauty. I have found it. So many nights of wandering. Pelted by cold raindrops. Refuge of the animals. Imprints upon the heart -   Heartbeat, geometric strange.   At one with fringe expanses, the cosmos as caress, so far away from it all.   The mortal becoming...

    • Wasn’t it weird to hear she was a poet? It struck a chord in me and the loss was felt double. The world needs poets.

    • Powerfully penned, Fia. All this madness is getting innocent people killed, it’s insane the amount of blood being spilled by this death cult regime. A fellow poet and most importantly a human being was taken from her child and loved ones. I’m fucking disgusted by all this senseless violence. Nice tribute my friend. Appreciate you, cuz.

      Damian

    • Nicely done, Fia, Thank you. It is hard to see anyone die so senselessly and ruthlessly, especially by someone who does it while cameras are rolling, knowing his act will be seen around the world. Perhaps that is why he took such a risk; but I think he knew that Trump and Noem would have his back. They all should rot in hell. Soon.

      • Thank you, FD. After you written your tribute I was moved and wanted to write one as well. How many times we have to see on camera what is going on before people wake up? It should not matter that she is a poet, but it does hit hard for the community.

    • I always think of how these acts are only what we see. I wonder and am scared of what they do when no one’s looking.
Monsters, and honestly I don’t think much for their supporters either.

    • Great tribute, these are sad times Lady indeed. Wat you’re seeing is straight out of Hitler’s and the Nazi’s play book. This country played with this man and now is facing it’s possible end.

    • I woke up this morning and needed to speak of the murder. I had no idea there were already several pieces posted. Essentially we have a narcissistic sadist with his hire hitmen out there, acting like people are expendable. I watched the video with my daughter and we were both struck by how casually he shot her and then walked away like it was nothing. Because he knows his keepers will cover his ass. Empowering men whose natural tendency is cruelty was intentional, make no mistake. Their day of reckoning will come. Just not soon enough.

      • I have two daughters myself, and I think it could have been them. It could have been my niece. It could be anyone. My heart cries out to her son who has no mother or father now.

    • Were in some real trying times right now. This poem is well written and real to each word I read here. Nice job Fia..xox

    • Chère F.,
Lovely poem for a horrible happening.

      Scene of the rhyme
Is always better than scene of the crime

      Keep the courage, please…
      Warm regards, Gus

    • At the minimum, it is manslaughter. She was attempting to flee, not harm. He could have simply taken one step back. Even if he isn’t charged with a crime, he should be removed from that job. He has an irrational temperament.

    • This is a beautiful tribute, and I will follow your lead and write one in honor of her.

    • I’m sure Renee would approve of any kind word through verse from another poet. Nice tribute.

    • I think I see the changes. It’s a beautiful, yet powerful poem.

      • Thank you, Tim. I must say, with all that’s happening, I am exhausted. That’s not a complaint, just the effect of all this on my mind as much as my body; I’m getting too old to be even a word warrior, especially when I must be concerned for the safety of my family. I’ve been to several protests here in Austin, though it’s hard to get around even with a battery powered wheelchair. I don’t relish doing that when ice (water ice) comes to cover streets and sidewalks. And yes, that does happen here — snow sometimes, too. But ice of any kind is not welcome here. With Texas having a very large border that is NOT fenced off, and our very large migrant community, it’s a bit odd we’ve not been swamped by ICE or Border Control. But then, we’ve got a Republican governor. However, that may change soon, I think. And then what?

        • Getting old is no fun. I’m sorry to hear you’re confined to a wheel chair. That can’t be easy. As I’m getting older my eyes aren’t as good as they used to be, and these aches and pains in my feet are no fun either. I have this weird feeling like Trump is not going to finish his term. We’ll see if I’m right.

          • You are not the first to suggest Trump may not finish his lterm. . Not only have I heard that by some one else, I’ve said it, too. He’s one year older than me, and surely under much more stress., so it wouldn’t surprise me if he doesn’t finish the job.

And I’m not confined to a wheelchair, But I can’t be on my feet for more than about three minutes, max, so I have the wheelchair. It helps a lot.

    • Great tribute dude, as we said this is just starting here in America. There is more than two more years of of rights lost, invasions, and lies. Prepare

    • I felt the need to honor her myself this morning. I’m glad to see you arrived first. When they’ve silenced a poet, we must step up and carry on. I am…overwhelmed by the atrocity. And bracing myself for what’s to come from the hit squad next. Beautiful memorial

    • Cold, stark, and unforgiving—this grips the chest and won’t let go. You feel the frost, the loss, the helplessness. A bleak landscape carved from grief. Raw, precise, and brutal.

      • Thank you, Thomas. I didn’t even know you were here. I’m just now preparing to do an audio version and will ost it in the Spoken Word category when I’m finished.

    • As I understand it she was blocking Ice all day and causing trouble. When she tried to run she sealed her fate.
It was totally unnecessary to shoot and kill her though. That Ice agent reacted too fast and recklessly. As far as her running him over, I didn’t see it.

      • I mean ice in my eyes is illegitimate anyway. A bunch of clowns who aren’t properly trained playing soldier. I think it’s bad enough when cops shoot fleeing vehicles. If you have a license plate and they pose no threat then let them go and get them later. They walk out like thugs. Anyone would be scared shitless.

    • Clever title Nick…

Law enforcement is certainly overly militarized
      and undertrained…

I had a friend get shot by the cops in a high
      speed chase…

He drove toward one of the cops and they
fired though the windshield, putting two
      in his computer…

I live in what has been described as a
      large town…

So many forms of insanity have been
      proliferated…

    • I watched the video. The hardest part for me was how casually he shot her. And then basically shrugged it off. Stop anyone from getting in their way of cruelty…permanently. That seems to be their philosophy. And it’s backed 150% by the cheese puff at the top and his psychophants

    • Excellent write Nick. Well written, raw and accurate. This is the real thing. Unapologetic! Nice work!

    • Powerfully penned, Nick. It’s a racist fucking gestapo looking to spill innocent blood, in the name of a cult regime. Raw and honest write my friend. Appreciate you.
