Lady of Sorrow (Ch.2: Lady of Sorrow)

Five years later.      I had become published as a writer. Authoring the gothic genre in poetry and novels. I had written about my near-death experience and it drew local readers in. I happened to purchase an old...

    • I sincerely wish the bookmark worked for me, but try as I might it doesn’t. This will be permanently bookmarked in my mind though

      • Thanks for reading and the compliment.
The Bookmark feature works but not as it should. The Bookmarks are only being stored in your Browser history and when you clear your history you also clear your bookmarks….just saying.💋

    • hello dearest Benny I guess I love our terrible creator because he is terrible like me of me like him…he never leaves me alone though the godly people abandones me right away… you can only do your best and life isn’t a fairy tale I get it with the memories 💕 great write…

    • I wouldn’t mind if we did away with platitudes altogether. It’s entirely too easy for people to quote one of them at you without really thinking of any sort of meaningful response that might better fit the situation.

    • “Love & light” or “positive vibes only” also come to mind. Toxic positivity is a real issue….people have to be able to grieve, to get frustrated and angry and complain on occasion. These are unpleasant things that all humans must experience.

One of my least favorite to hear is “be yourself”, which too often means “confirm my biased opinions of you”.

    • I love watching a good storm roll in but I have never fully subscribed to the “go try and spot the tornado” mentality. I have too much respect for those storms to want to watch that happen in real time. I’ll settle for seeing that through my cameras.
Right before a thunderstorm starts though and the wind is picking up. That’s ideal to stand in the middle of.

      • I have been known…a time or 2…to go chasing. But generally, I stick to the porch with an unobstructed path to shelter at my back. Been in the tornado belt too long to not respect them. In this case, it chased us. First we knew was the sound of what seemed to be an airplane through the living room, followed by huge crashes. When I say we had a tree all over our yard, parts were in the front, parts along the side & part was in back. Big house, lots of ground to cover. We were very lucky. Thank you for stopping by

    • Powerfully penned, Willow. Storm watching huh? I can’t remember the last time I did that. lol. Excellent write my friend, glad you’re ok, nature does know how to put on a show. Appreciate you.

      • It was a wild time. Crazy intense. Enough so that my 35 yr old daughter came downstairs looking for her mommy. Some people still have no power. I love storm watching. This was bigger than that. We were super lucky, my friend

    • Tremendous work. Vivid and sharp.

    • We get the occasional blizzard too. Though nothing like you northerners get. Mostly we get icicles on our ass, & wild thunderstorms. They’re speculating we caught the trailing edge of a tornado this time. Lucky, we were very lucky. Thanks girl
