My parents, like many heard about the Lutz family leaving their house and went to the property to possibly witness or see any strange occurrences. This was December 1975. They saw nothing. The family left the home completely furnished, as though they went out to the movies or something. The story made the headlines that the home was haunted. George Lutz spoke to a writer named Jay Anson. Anson recorded about 45 hours worth of material from George & Kathy Lutz. This was used for the basis of the book and eventually a movie.

Something about haunted houses always gives me pause. Mainly because it’s supposed to be
be the one place you should feel protected from the outside world. Something about the Amityville movies always made me think of my grandmother.
I’m not sure how it all started but my grandmother has this thing about blessing her families vehicles and houses. Not a priest but just her and her Spanish prayers. She has long passes away but my mom kept the tradition going and always gives me a blessed rosary to hang on my cars rear view mirror. When I was younger I would roll my eyes but now that I’m older not so much. I don’t mean to ramble on but this took me back! Total classic!-
Cool story Adelphina. Thanks for sharing about your grandmother.
I think the Amityville movies create a sense of uneasiness because theirs something sinister about the look of the house. If you go pass the house today, there aren’t any characteristics that will take you back to those haunting images during the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s.

It’s about time you participated in your own creation (site) again. Thumps up!
This didn’t disappoint either. The vivid details of the colors and their descriptive properties were on point.
Good to see you Sam!-
Thank you Styxian… I was trying to deliberately stay back a little… I didn’t want people to think I was a show off or a narcissist… besides, I’m not as good as many of you here on this site…so I’ll just enjoy reading from a distance… anyway, thanks again for those beautiful words

Dude, show off! Really. This is what a site is for. You being the “leader” can lead with your own writes. that in itself is motivation. It’s your baby! It’s encouraging to see the efforts and results of those who truly care about what they write, as you do.
A captain is or is not the best at everything. But they are the leader that motivates. Yeah?-
Dude.. those are among the best words anyone has ever said to me… I really really appreciate your amazing words … I have no words to express how I feel

By design, nature must facilitate sex over and over. Don’t know if plants enjoy it, but us mammals are just wild about it!

Yes this is another one of those to watch when the sun it up. But I like the fact that he seeks revenge on those who wanted him dead.

Visions this is outstanding horror poetry. You worked the imagery so well and created the scene like a great poet. Am impressed.

I do not remember when I found out Amityville was in Long Island New York. But the first thing I thought of was the house created on top of a burial ground. That movie I’ve had seen twice
