    The Sweet 69

ME: Your breath teases my thighs, warm and inviting, I lower myself slowly, heart pounding with raw need, 'Gonna make you beg for my taste,' I whisper, playful fire in my eyes. My slick parted folds hover, aching for your hungry mouth.   YOU: Fuck, your...

    Glass Houses and Crusaders

    listen
    I’m not angry
    I know you mean well
but I need to set one thing straight
I don’t need anyone charging in
    trying to save my day
    swinging a shiny sword
    astride a big white horse
not when I’m already taking action
    I fight my own battles
    mop my own damn floors

like that knight ever on a crusade
    you…Read More

  • The Pull

    There’s a gravity to you,
    quiet, irresistible,
    the kind that pulls
    without touching.

    But when you do touch,
    the night folds around us
like silk caught in a fist.

    Your voice at my ear
    undoes me faster
than the heat of your mouth
    on my shoulder.

    I fall into wanting,
    into you.

    Depends What Matters…

    I don’t know if it’s a society thing…
    or what
but this standard that directs us to follow a specified path
    you meet…you marry…pop out a few kids
never forgetting the coveted white picket fence

    I have a question…
    what if that pattern…
isn’t really one size fits all…

I think of all the miserable…Read More

    • Hi Willow, you have packed a lot into your poem. At its heart is the recognition of individuality, as opposed to individualism. We arrive in many different shapes and colors as well as temperaments. For me, it is a social matter, the traditions that arise out of society based on oppression, of class and social distinction and hierarchy, that…Read More

      • I fear that we’re rapidly approaching that time when women and those of color have few rights again. The number of bumper stickers I’ve seen with “Make women property again” make me sick. And this country is terrifying me more every day. It’s time for big change indeed. Thank you, Curt

    Crying In My Sleep

Every night... I cry when I sleep  with no one to chase away the bad dreams,  mend any of the hurts,  the silent screams or the broken heart  that continually bleeds.   Time and again, when dreaded night comes,  I cry in my sleep,  grind my teeth...

    • I feel this poem. Your emotions spilling over into the waking world due to a nightmare. Good piece

      • Thank you 😊 because of the situation I’m in this is almost the norm for me.

    • It’s good to have a good cry, even when it happens again and again, it cleanses the soul. I felt this poem. Bravo!

      D.

    • Thanks 😊
