This poem envelops me in its grip.
Sadness, shame, discord…I feel this way sometimes…jokes won’t humor me, pleasantries are the opposite of what I need.
Really strong, strong write.

Powerfully penned, Willow. Into the book it belongs! Excellent write my friend, I felt this one. Appreciate you.

Amazing, Willow. You keep impressing me with lines like, “slicing pieces off yesterday to feed me.” So strong and beautiful simultaneously. Keep it up. Please. And thanks for the audio version; you know I can’t help but gravitate to that. It is so well done.
-
I’ve been slowly making spoken versions of many of my pieces. Just takes more time and energy than I currently have to spare. Thank you so much 😊
-
Understood; I am doing the same while coping with bizzare-o-ness in my own world. But that’s okay, I get through with little tidbits of kindness from friends like you.

If they were Krispy Kreme, I might understand the urge. But wow, Vol, this is so upfront and in your face, I think it
simply broke the mirror.

This is a hard hitting piece that tells more about the state of the relationship than about the outer appearance of this woman. If he looked at her with the eyes of love, everything about her from the messy hair to the stained dressing gown would appear beautiful to him. He would only see her inner beauty. But between the couple you describe there isn’t much love anymore.
Perfectly observed and put into words, dear Keith! Xoxo -
Well, Damn, the reiteration of Go look in the mirror is a banger. People generally do not see what they become until they are forced to. Keith very, very open write

That phrase neglects something; It hides the trauma that stirred the mantra to be uttered. It doesn’t really make you stronger. It makes you “on guard”.
Your words ring true, Willow. Let it out and stand proud of it. -

Like the joker said “Whatever doesn’t kill you makes you stranger”. I think that’s a bit more accurate haha.
Great ink.

Amazing work, Willow. I find myself blushing and cursing myself for never looking at that slogan from this point of view. I gave no thought of that phrase being anything more than absurd for its stupidity. Not that I never knew the pain — or felt it from my father’s hand, or saw it when my mother lay upon the floor with one leg jutting outward at an odd angle. I think I preferred to ignore it, not from shame or ignorance, but because the pain is still there, buried deep within my mind, still sticking in the knife. Thank you for this.
-
This is why I write. Because those images haunt. And everyday nonsensical phrases take on different weight when you look at them from the other side. I can never not be fractured. I’m a complete kaleidoscope but if I can draw light to bits and pieces, make people see differently, than maybe someone else won’t experience it later that day. Or they might recognize the truth in what is being said and know they’re not alone in feeling it. We don’t change the world in leaps and bounds, we change it in moments and inches. But it does change. Thank you, FlatDaddy

It scares me what’s going on. When the people really find out everything I believe it’s gonna be ugly. I don’t understand his supporters. Honestly I tried to understand but this is something right out of a brain washed cult. Don’t know how or even when this nightmare ends, but it’s clear the damage is already done.
-
They’ll do as much damage as they can before it’s over. More than we can probably imagine. It’s terrifying. I’ve never understood his supporters. Somehow trying to feels…slimy & corrosive. I keep a close eye on it & a closer eye on my loved ones. We’re gonna need each other a great deal in days to come. Thank you, my friend

The average American doesn’t even know how many females goes missing every year here in America. Where are all of these women? You don’t have to worry about the country, the universe has a way of resetting all wrongs. A country that blurs it’s divisions of government soon ceases to be a country. Allies have realigned and signed new trade agreements as overpriced food here rots in the fields. Great piece Lady
-
I don’t for a moment believe it’s a coincidence that the traffickers are now in full control of the country. Barely hiding their actions and blowing smoke up idiot asses at every turn. I’m filling my drafts folder with protests and anger. And no small amount of fear. It is strangely satisfying watching other countries turn away. The fool already bankrupted 6 companies, why not a country? Ugh… Thank you. I always enjoy your comments
