    Time (part 1)

Is it time I guess it’s time for me  to give you information you see Because I don’t know how I was going to work this day Everyday is not like yesterday I know that you’re surprised I decided to do this at this moment Why I...

    • Powerfully penned, Fia. An excellent write with lots of layers my friend. Congrats on writing for 30 days straight that couldn’t have been easy. I don’t think I could do it. Appreciate you, Cuz.

      • Thank you Damian. Well, I actually did this poem free verse on the street walking to work. Its longer than this but I stopped here.

    • The inevitable impulse. The opening – “Is it time / I guess it’s time for me / to give you information” – creates a tension between the inner calling and hesitation. The subject doesn’t decide: time decides for him. It’s almost an involuntary confession.

    Glass Houses and Crusaders

    listen
    I’m not angry
    I know you mean well
but I need to set one thing straight
I don’t need anyone charging in
    trying to save my day
    swinging a shiny sword
    astride a big white horse
not when I’m already taking action
    I fight my own battles
    mop my own damn floors

like that knight ever on a crusade
    you…Read More

You threw the match on gasoline
    It was always flammable
    It’s stable if not bothered
    You did it, though
    You struck the match
    Watch it light
    Then threw it.

Did you doubt it would light?
Did you want to see if it was destructive?
    You knew it was
The temperature is hotter the closer you get
I advise you to stay away
    Let the…Read More

    • Hi Fia, what is the time zone which is being shown in this site. Can you make it universal pertaining to local time of member. Could you give me statistics of how many members so far joined and readers are from which country. I am just trying to analyse your good effort to be with success.
      Thank you
      Jessy Jacob ❤️

    • hello lovely Fia these are powerful emotions you wrote brilliantly about…anger is difficult to me because I have written angry poems to vent… you express yourself very well ❤️

    • Powerfully penned, Fia. Another excellent write that explains the fury of being wronged my friend. Nicely done as always. This one has teeth and your words bite. Appreciate you.

    • Explosive write to say the least. Those who like to watch things burn don’t know how bad the heat may get.
      Nicely done.

  • The Pull

    There’s a gravity to you,
    quiet, irresistible,
    the kind that pulls
    without touching.

    But when you do touch,
    the night folds around us
like silk caught in a fist.

    Your voice at my ear
    undoes me faster
than the heat of your mouth
    on my shoulder.

    I fall into wanting,
    into you.
