    Shade Tree Sam

Beneath this tree, where shade is good I park my car and pop the hood Spark plugs fouled--she won’t run right I’ll scrape ‘em clean with this here knife   Got one good tire with lots of tread The rest are may-pops, nearly dead The tail...

Four Quiet Seasons - One Loud Man

Four Quiet Seasons - One Loud ManWould you please just look at me,I tend to oscillate and goaround and around in increasinglyunpredictable circles, chasing my tail, but hardly making  even the faintest sound ..But if the truth was only known...

  • The Silence of Words

    April 30th, last day of
    Poetry Month, arrives
    with showers, grey skies,
    and sadness. Fitting I
    suppose referring to
    the old saying, ‘April showers,
    May flowers’, those Springtime
    colors designed to bring joy,
    happiness, and the feeling of
    self-worth, of being whole
    and seen, alive in wonder.
    Instead, this day…Read More

    • I’ve found that more often than not, people translate words through whatever filter they’re currently struggling with. It may not have anything to do with us even. It’s one reason I think, that we write poetry. Thank…Read More

  • Love Sonnet LXXXVI

    For some reason April 29th
hung in the air like a full
    moon, its beams finding you
    through the open window, and

    tickled your skin as you
    slept. I watched you
    breathing, breasts rising and
    falling as the moon beams

    frolicked their enthusiasm,
    causing you to awaken slightly,
    roll on your side,

    And settle…Read More

  • Endings and Beginnings

It was April 28th, a Tuesday, situated
two days closer to May. Something
    unclear, vague, shifted just beyond
    my sight.

Perhaps it was my over worked
    imagination, a mind focused
    entirely on the abstraction of
reality, or the discord of a
    symphony that was playing
    in my head.

Perhaps it was due to…Read More
