    Slow Drift Afloat

A slow drift afloat, of sapphire notes, of winsome blues settling in the air holding on to deep tides, endless deep, like a salt-licked pulse.Pouring itself into a glass of dusklike spilled memories through honey, slipping between my fingers, a...

    • Powerful, real & honest. You bought up all excellent points here. A reminder, Mid terms in November. We all need to get out there and vote!

      • If they pass their SAVE Act, some of us will no longer be allowed to vote. I haven’t given up. They’re just making it a tougher fight. Shields up…back into the fray!

    • Amen, who puts a draft dodger and proven business failure over their country. Tight one Lady. You know there are a many that are with this piece and many political pieces on this site, but for whatever reason refuse to speak up.

      • I have found that once the cork came out of my bottle, contents just spill out. I’ll keep speaking my piece. Even if nobody is listening. Thank you, my friend

    • It’s not him….he’s just the puppet.
Business runs the world and it never loses.

      • Never is an unproven theory. Hasn’t yet doesn’t mean never will. Hasn’t yet is no excuse not to keep fighting

    • Unapologetically penned, Willow. Into the book it belongs! Spitting facts though out this powerful write my friend. And also you have a great rant voice, chef’s kiss on the narration. Keeping that bonfire burning, let me know when you need more matches. Appreciate you.

      • I might need a few more matches. Not yet, but I’ll keep you posted. If it ain’t hot enough to keep us going, more kindling is required. Thank you, my friend

    • I felt the strength behind this. Man you broke down everything and still people turn a blind eye to everything because if they say they were wrong then that’s admitting they are part of the problem.

      • They choose what they want to believe because it gives them validation for their own failures, inadequacies and hatred. They will always follow the Us/Them philosophy. They need a Them to target. Bullies always do. Thing is…we outnumber them. And that scares them. Cornered creatures always turn vicious.

    • Good Lord, what a storm that was! Holy hooligans— I loved every bit of it!
Willow can I just say, you touched my soul tonight with your words here .
      thank you my friend

      • I’ve been a bit…tumultuous…lately. I just can’t stop paying attention. And that leads to outrage. And I burnt my filter with clear sight. So here we are. Thank you, Jackie 😊

    The Deep End

    • This is a well written, meaningful and thought provoking piece, dear Peter! I agree, fear is often irrational. We anticipate situations that may or may not happen in future instead of living in the present moment and experiencing open-minded whatever life may present us.

    • Thanks for reading Elke.

It was a rare moment of clarity. I wish I could have captured that feeling.
      🙏

    • oh so true sire. Clever write.

    • Powerfully penned, Peter. An excellent thought provoking write my friend. Appreciate you.
