Summary:
Swimming my laps today I understood fear so well I became fearless.

As I approached the deep end of the pool
a thought occurred,
crystal clear.
In that instant
I understood:
fear could not be found
anywhere outside of myself.
No matter the tragic event,
it is my mind
that gives fear its shape,
and names it
trauma.

    1. This is a well written, meaningful and thought provoking piece, dear Peter! I agree, fear is often irrational. We anticipate situations that may or may not happen in future instead of living in the present moment and experiencing open-minded whatever life may present us.
