Oh yeah, this one definitely needs a place on the album! I hope it’s coming along well! The halls are a bit echo-ey without you wandering them as often, my friend

Thanks so much for reading and your kind words, Willow. So glad you connected with the write my friend. It’s going, though it took a while to get my “Logic Pro” software. Which allows me to mix better and I can even master my music with it. But, I got a song mapped out structurally, I have lyrics for everything but the bridge. Which I just came up with that bridge tonight. Gotta record vocals, and backing vocals next. Hopefully, I’ll be letting you hear it soon. I miss you too, my friend. You’ve been penning some excellent work my friend. Thanks for your continued support, it means a lot to me. Appreciate you.

I get the sense of internal conflict, and the rhythm and urgency make it clear these are lyrics meant to be performed.
The energy builds perfectly toward the chorus: “Face to face with destiny…” I especially like the line “Loyal to the art of betrayal” – it’s a great, concise piece of wordplay.

Second stanza, first line, did you mean “you’re”?
The repetition really works. And the shield me stanza is so clever and just rolls off the tongue.
Good, good piece of writing.

The interesting thing about this one is that, depending on how it’s read, it could be a woman or an addiction. Very clever use of words here, my friend!

Some people shy away from a poem that’s composed of rhyme. I’ve always felt that there’s a finesse to it that has to be refined like a piece of art. You have that quality. It speaks volumes, Damian!

The lyrics are so lovely, I feel the intensity of the emotions…the push and pull, the thrill and the ache. and the repeated chorus of “sweet novocain” lingers like a haunting, addictive melody. I’d love to hear you sing this. It’s beautiful

I sense there is more to this than presently meets the eye .. Good luck with production .. I suspect it will do well ..

Great message. Unfortunately I’m in a bit of a pissy mood with people these days. Wish we could all just not judge.
Great ink

Easier said than done, my friend. Still.. all we can do is our best – to live and let live. When my trust, belief and love take a hit I will remember to revisit this write. Inspiring message, thank you for the share.

I’ve always tried to hold the words “you don’t know” in the back of my mind with others. You don’t know their story, you don’t know how far they’ve fallen or how far they’ve come. You just don’t know, so don’t judge. I’ve always felt differences were beautiful. It’s what adds texture to humanity. Another fantastic write, my friend

Thanks so much for reading and your kind words, Willow. So glad you connected with the write my friend. I agree, when one doesn’t know, all they can do is assume. Assumption is the mother of all fuck ups! In my honest opinion. Differences are what makes each of us unique, I embrace that. Always dig your commentary. Appreciate you.

You never know the truths behind someones personality. Message is clear & optimistic. Well done Damian.

Our differences spice up and beautify our lives. They offer a wonderful opportunity to learn more about this world and all its varieties.
Even if it is about the topic you absolutely don’t agree, don’t judge or hate. This makes the situation even worse. Try to stay open-minded and compassionate instead and your mind will be free to find the best solution.
An awesome and brilliantly written poem, dear Damien! -
A beautiful and insistent plea for universal acceptance. Its rhythmic, repeated structure powerfully drives home the message that true connection requires us to simply “judge not” those who are different. Resonates in every line and leaves a quiet, lasting impact.
