Unfortunately some live in snow globes. Frozen in the same memories and misfortunes.
A well written, thought provoking poem, with a good concept. Well done, Fia! “) -
Powerfully penned, Fia. Excellent write with lots of layers my friend. Nicely done as always. Appreciate you, Cuz.

Chère F.,
How have you done this, with almost each line/sentence a different perspective.
You always seem to surprise me and it looks like maybe it’s surprising you that you do.
What a lovely way to start a new week!
Love it to bits!
Warm greetings, Gus -
To me, time as a gift. None of us knows, how long their lives will last. I think, it is most important to use the gift of time we receive to find out who we are, why we are here and how to live a life in harmony and at peace with ourselves and all of creation.
A well written and meaningful poem, dear Fia!

I like new concept poetry & love the fact it is possible to listen to the words although I note this is not your voice Fia .. still it kind of fits with my idea of Romeo’s voice ..

All is lost for poor Romeo and he’s doomed to a lonely darkness, then… the clouds break, the sun shines again, and all is well. I love happy endings. Hopefully, it will last.

The Silence of Words

Poetry Month, arrives
with showers, grey skies,
and sadness. Fitting I
suppose referring to
the old saying, ‘April showers,
May flowers’, those Springtime
colors designed to bring joy,
happiness, and the feeling of
self-worth, of being whole
and seen, alive in wonder.

I’ve found that more often than not, people translate words through whatever filter they’re currently struggling with. It may not have anything to do with us even. But our words have impact, not always how we meant them, and their responses have an equal impact. Words are powerful and because of that, can be dangerous. Even if unintended. I feel this one

Hi Willow, I really appreciate your comment on this poem. I think your are right about the ‘filter’ of how words land with someone. It’s hard at times, even in real, face to face conversation, but here or on any social media website, it’s even harder. And yes, words are powerful and dangerous. It’s one reason I think, that we write poetry. Thank…Read More
