What would happen if time stood still
Would a tear still drop
Would the heart still beat
Would that moment still be etched in memory
Words can never be taken back
When both cheeks are slapped there is no other to give
Wounds that are soul deep are hard to repair
Why forgive to be hurt again
Wouldn’t it be simpler to just go on with life
Whether it be now or later we all come to terms with the truth
What could happen if time stood still

Nice write Fia.
I’m not sure if time even exists in the universe…..seems like a human construct.
It might be. I find it weird its never enough time. Thank you Peter 😊
Unfortunately some live in snow globes. Frozen in the same memories and misfortunes.
A well written, thought provoking poem, with a good concept. Well done, Fia! “)
Snow globes …well that’s a thought. To be stuck in that one time and place
Powerfully penned, Fia. Excellent write with lots of layers my friend. Nicely done as always. Appreciate you, Cuz.

Thank you Damian. Im trying new ways to inspire myself. 😊
Chère F.,
How have you done this, with almost each line/sentence a different perspective.
You always seem to surprise me and it looks like maybe it’s surprising you that you do.
What a lovely way to start a new week!
Love it to bits!
Warm greetings, Gus
It is inspiring me. Pushing me a bit to see things differently. Thank you Gus 😊
To me, time as a gift. None of us knows, how long their lives will last. I think, it is most important to use the gift of time we receive to find out who we are, why we are here and how to live a life in harmony and at peace with ourselves and all of creation.
A well written and meaningful poem, dear Fia!
Thank you so much, Elke;))
