    Atrocity's Yellow Screams

Yellow Atrocity Screams In the depth of night, when all is silent,I can hear you scream. It’s a blood screamnot from a dream butthe reality of human atrocity. This sound is yellow, the shade often seen hiding in shadow,or imagined while listeningto a morose...

    • This is so empowering. We need to stop this.

    • Hi Curt. I know I left a review for this poem on WC, but the message is so important, I’m glad you shared it here too.

The imagery on this piece is haunting- The yellow scream is so vivid, almost synesthetic image that makes human atrocity feel terrifyingly alive.

The way sound, color, and darkness intertwine lingers long after reading.

    Ghosts Among Us

Ghosts fly in, fly through, fly out Run, cannot escape Frightened throughout They see our wretched Burning hungers Crushing spirits And weak wills Squandering hearts And evil swill Solid objects, bright reflection Of dark frills Then you ask of my preoccupation Of ghosts among us Time now- occupy us

    • A very interesting write, my friend. It touches many emotions and makes one wonder just who — or what — is in charge of them. Us? Or …
      A nice write.

    • Perfect for the month of October. It’s the time for dark and ghostly material.
      Thanks for posting!

    • Is it ghosts – believable ghosts, or memories that haunt us? At night or day dark, thoughts hit home suddenly as we meet with times past, moments paused to earn invisible recognition – perhaps for no apparent reason. Are those the ghosts of stress or maybe, a kaleidoscope of darkness shaken by life. Tis said that certain ghosts call univited, . rattling chains of what could-should be peace escaped from personal space!

      • Always appreciate your insights, Emmagreen. Thank you. Great thoughts, sparking and flurry from center. What haunts us? Mmm yes, that is a very personal question that I would love to talk to you about -yours and mine.

        • I enjoy discussing topics whether known to me or not. When quite young one of my birth family’s grannies said children should learn something new every day. Have tried best I can although – my head often aches!
