    We Need To Feel Pain

To outgrow any weakness, we have to first feel the pain and the embarrassment it brings.   We remember how it feels and we replay those awful images and we learn to coexist with nightmares.

    • Interestingly, being weak on something doesn’t mean you’re not strong. It is just for that one thing that we have to learn from.

    • There’s definitely a lot of truth in this, but also everything in moderation. Becoming fixated on things won’t make you better, just neurotic.

    • Nice writing Daniel.

Thinking is the root cause of all our suffering…. we can’t stop thinking but we can stop long enough to watch the mind.

    Silent Desire

I don’t crave this.I haven’t in years. And yet…he’s here, asking, practically begging; againGod dammit, tonight, I’m relenting.I stood, aggressively reaching under my nighty.  “Is this what you fucking want?!”   With my thumbs,  I quickly shoved my panties down to...

    • INTENSE. sexy and entirely enticing. Overwhelmingly sense worthy. through yourwords I gasped, moaned and shuttered for you. . I too want to let myself feel and be felt. Mine, this.is my all time favorite. It is so so rare that I lay upon another’s inviting calligraphy . It takes a lot for me to be submerged, you did just that.

(()Fuck yes!))) love it. scarred beautifully by it and that controlling ting oooiuuff.. .gods
yes i.said a lot but well deserved

    • Even though she was in control, it seems that she is angry. She needed this, and of course, it would be with him, but she is furious that she had to cave into her own body’s desires. Good write

    If You Let Me

I don’t know if you love me anymore. But I know I love you—and I still lust for you.Even after all these years, after the weight we’ve both carried, after the silence between us.I want you.I don’t know how to begin,as if...

    • I understand completely the words you put together about a subject I know quite well.
I’ve written similar pieces and shown my wife, hoping for a spark to keep the fire alight.
Hope your terrific composition has more success than mine.

    • The yearning is palatable. I hope it goes well.

    My Eyes Open

My eyes open, to the imagined. My eyes closed, to the real.   My ears open, to hallucinations. My ears closed, to your voice.   My mouth open, to ramblings. My mouth closed, to anything sensical.   My hand open, once to yours. My hand closed, now to yours.

    • Indeed, everything changes. I would suspect, or at least in my own life, the choice to switch what I am perceiving is all interconnected.

    • Das ist ein sehr schönes Gedicht, Daniel! Ich kann mich absolut damit identifizieren.
The use of opposites is the perfect stylistic device to underline the fact that in our dreams and illusions we are most alive! Brilliant!

    I Don't Cry

I don't cry  it is not that I cannot  it is because I choose not to    tears show everything  when they fall  why they fall   We are made up of water  precious it is  but we allow it to spill    a single tear wasted  on a single incident  never to...

    • Powerful and poignant.

    • Emotions can grab us when we’re not ready. Your mother had a lot of wisdom.

      Good one, Fia.

    • Crying is a way for the body to release hormones that calm us down during stressful times.
Next time you cry, pause for a moment and reflect on why you’re crying.I doubt there will be a logical, solid, single reason.
      Great write Fia 💋

    • Oh stop being so tough. LOL.
Everyone needs a good cry some time. Its how we flush our eyes out!
Hell, I even secretly cry a sad tic toc videos, in private! LOL.
      I’m a softy at heart!

Great words, Fia. Now let it out! Cry!

    • I think I envy those who cry. I can’t seem to, and believe it’s not a healthy thing that I can’t. Most likely it was the trauma I suffered as a child that had me crying buckets until there just weren’t any more tears in me. I agree with your attitude about crying now, and believe your mother’s advice to be very wise. This is strong writing that has me thinking much about the subject.

    • It’s so much more of a powerful expression this way, in my opinion. It means that if you cry it actually means something. Such a beautiful expression of that.

    • Beautiful. It’s wonderful to have “control”. Not just in whether or not to cry.

    • I don’t cry many times. My poetry is my emotional release. But the last time I cried is when I lost my dog. When me and my wife got his nose print I just lost it. Don’t remember the last time I cried before then.

      Great ink.

      • Thank you, Nick. I remember putting my dog to sleep. My whole body kept trembling and I did shed a couple of tears then I went numb. Pretty sure I should have gotten counseling for that response.

    • Powerfully penned, Fia. Into the book it belongs! This is an incredible write my friend, love the layers. Excellent work. Appreciate you.

    • Oh lordy…have you seen the movie The Holiday? I’m the Jude Law character…a weeper! Happy, sad, excited, confused…I’m a soggy mess. This is an interesting view though, seen from someone else’s perspective. Very nice!
