hello beautiful Fia I’m glad I no longer get gazes I wrote a poem about that I’m waiting to post it…it’s titled invisible…I don’t feel old even though I’m fifty six and the world wants to tell me I’m old…no she is not old just no longer a teen… great write ❤️

This is a great write.
The reality is we all age. It’s not so bad.
But realizing that comes with wisdom and learning to embrace the life you’ve lived and where you are mentally.
I’m happy at 51. You couldn’t pay me to be in my thirties.
Hell no. Hahaha

You have touched upon a very important topic with your beautiful and meaningful poem, dear Fià. Unfortunately, our Western society is obsessed with a cult of youth. In other cultures, by contrast, older people are more likely to be associated with wisdom and life experience. Fortunately, the ‘army’ of women who are not buying into this youth cult based on outward appearances is growing larger and larger. We only age in years, but we mature in terms of our life experience and our wisdom; our faces reflect the beauty of a life well-lived.

My sister casually announces she’s fat from time to time and she’s smaller than me. Throws the brain when someone declares themselves to be in a deficit but they still have more than you. I find it funny that I’m actually more content with my aging than I was in my youth. Guess it’s what we take from the life we live. Good write, Fia

I’m with you dearest Tim I hate death, the look of it, the feelings it brings the unfairness, I was watching a nature program about a grizzly cub and it’s mom she led him high into the snowy mountains but the incline was too steep for the cub he tried so many times to follow her just to land on the rocks below to die it made me cry it was unfair… great write ❤️

This is deep.
Death is unfair and painful for loved ones. It absolutely feels unfinished.

This feels tender in its grief. The simplicity makes the hurt more real.

Wow my friend! This is a punchy and powerful view of death. Yes the unfinished business both between people and creatively that death leaves incomplete. If only we could have more time to finish our lives and do the things we set out to. And then there are the interpersonal relationships with unfinished business. Old wounded things that were never healed or forgiven between people. I know so well what your poem speaks of. You take the most important thing in life death and put it into a concise form that explores the crucial facets of death with great poetry.

Tim as a huge fan of Emily Dickinson I can truly say this poem is uniquely composed and the crypt approach is an exquisitely new one applied to the great poet lady. You took me into her resting place with words that were vivid and strong and enveloped me in the sense of her final plot. Truly a wonderfully new and innovative view of the great poet lady. Loved this.

I echo your thoughts Damian. I mentioned to a friend the other day that everything is corrupt now – Companies…people in business…the government…car dealers…you name it. It’s like we’ve gotten to a point where scamming people is the norm now. Great write my friend.

Oh you know I’m over here furiously nodding and grabbing logs for the fire. I have come to the place of having to mute and cover the face of the colostomy bag. It’s not worth the heart palpitations and anger rising. I refuse to allow my health to be further deteriorated by that overstuffed cheese puff. Another marshmallow, my friend? I’m adding wood to the fire!

This was not only powerful but very relatable because many of us are feeling the frustration, watching the corruption take place. But you’re right, it won’t end nice and then more of the atrocities will unfold.
