    • To see the world and its inhabitants as they truly are and be able to accept them is being “woke” then I am too. Nice stream of consciousness.

      • I will never be ashamed of supporting those who are just trying to live their lives. I mean I feel extra worried for trans people. When you have the vice president calling trans people deranged it’s mind blowing. Scary times.

Thanks for the read, much appreciated.

    • Spitting fire, Nick. Into the book it belongs! A very powerful write my friend. Appreciate you.

      • I believe you can never lose when you fight with truth.

Thanks for the read, friend. Much appreciated.

    • !!!!🙌 So on point, my friend! That’s all I got for words here. You done said it all🙌!!!

      • ✋ such a great comment. Honestly I’m just happy to see there are people that see the ugliness that is happening.

Thanks for the read, friend. Much appreciated.

    • Hell yeah! 💥
Really, it’s gotta be the most lame-ass insult I’ve ever heard. If someone is calling people “woke”, does that mean they’re admitting that they’re asleep..? And… proud of it..? 😆 Geez.

      Love this write!
      ❤️k

      • Yeah, it is very stupid. And yet they keep saying it like they’re on to something. Literally they’re saying we shouldn’t think. It’s just as stupid as that movie don’t look up.

Thanks for the read, friend. Much appreciated.

    • I am reading and I will do my best to get eyes on the creatives. Being a creative person is never easy, but it is a necessity in my eyes.

      • Art is always subjective but I think losing DUP was a big hit to us poets. But I really hope to see more friendly faces here. I think once people get the hang of things they would see it’s even better.

I try to do my part as well but life is busy these days.

Thanks for the read. Much appreciated.

    • Well I was hooked from the first line, where does poetry go when it dies? I guess into oblivion to exist but be unseen and unheard. It’s crazy how we have so devalued and under appreciated art in any of its true forms when the world we live in now screams all the things that should make it thrive.

      • Devalued is pretty much everything now. It’s sad, but maybe one day things will come around. I mean if vinyls can make a comeback, why not?

Thanks for the read. Much appreciated.

    • Mic Drop! Excellent write, Nick. Appreciate you.

    • I will never surrender my ink! We’re not dying. We’re simply finding pockets of safety in a world gone mad. If I could put this on my reading list, I would…twice. Damn…

      • A very mad world these days. Which honestly with as many opinions people have you think they would want to write poetry instead of tweets.

Thanks for the read, friend. Much appreciated.

    • That’s terrific and honest.

Its hard to touch another’s suffering unless you’ve suffered yourself….I feel your pain.🙏

    • You have captured here that which is often so hard to put into words.

    • I’ve been depressed in the past, but some are clinically depressed and can’t get out of it without prescribed drugs. I feel for those people. It’s as though I’ve been released from jail due to time and age and they’re still in.
This really hits the nail on the head.

      • hello dearest Tim I’m glad you got out of it it’s not nice especially when it comes and goes without reason thank you for the love💕

    We Need To Feel Pain

To outgrow any weakness, we have to first feel the pain and the embarrassment it brings.   We remember how it feels and we replay those awful images and we learn to coexist with nightmares.

    • Interestingly, being weak on something doesn’t mean you’re not strong. It is just for that one thing that we have to learn from.

    • There’s definitely a lot of truth in this, but also everything in moderation. Becoming fixated on things won’t make you better, just neurotic.

    • Nice writing Daniel.

Thinking is the root cause of all our suffering…. we can’t stop thinking but we can stop long enough to watch the mind.
