We do what we must. Well, the good ones do! Like you.
Speak your words, Fia. Take a bow and some praise. It ain’t easy out there. Luckily you’ve discovered the therapy of ceative writing. It DOES help. It can save souls, if we trust ourselves to focus on hope.
Wonderful, uplifting write my dear. -
Man. I can relate to this. Not just myself but with my friends and family.
There is no telling where I’d be without my mom. She is my rock.
So empowering!! Thank you for posting !! -
The kids are everything. And if they’re not…something ain’t right. Felt this one in my maternal DNA.

Life can be cruel and unfair, so I thank God for mothers like this. It is my great hope that their sacrifices will be rewarded–if not in this life, then the next.

I felt this deep in my marrow. Your dedication to those children renewed my faith in humankind. The struggle to keep your children fed and housed moved my heart deeply. This is truly one of your very best poems. It speaks to me of a mother’s love and her oh so protective spirit t keep her children safe, healthy, and well. This is much more than a poem it is a living breathing testament to a mother’s love. I loved this so much.

This is wild and intoxicating! It’s like a fantastical flight through desire, danger, and celebration all at once. An exploration of the tension between freedom and restraint, beauty and ferocity. The title even makes me think of those sugar marshmallow pops…sweet, colorful, and totally irresistible–mirroring how the poem balances whimsy with intensity.

Just the write amount of spookyness for the run up to All Hallows Eve .. and if I’m not mistaken a teensy taste of gentle & most tasteful sensualness too .. Very nice indeed Ma’am .. Neville 😎👍

Hi! I think Sugar Skulls are very sensual with a hint of edginess. I love incorporating beauty and darkness. Nothing too overbearing. Just got to find the right tone and balance. I also love dragons! Yes, I’m a huge fan of Game of Thrones.
Plus I was talking smack to my fiancé about wanting a moped with sugar skulls then he said he wanted one with dragons. Hahaha. Thanks for snaps on this Neville!
P.s. my best friend’s name is Nellie.
I had to do a double take when I read your name. lol

I love how this poem blends cosmic imagery with the deeply personal act of creation. The idea of writing with stars, leaving luminous fingerprints on an infinite slate, beautifully captures the timelessness and universality of poetry. It feels both expansive and grounded, as if the cosmos and the earth are woven together through the poet’s words.

I’ve honestly have only watched the first episode of Stranger Things. but your poem stands powerfully on its own. The imagery is so vivid and eerie, it feels like a story in itself.

Hey Fia. Thank you!
I wrote this yesterday trying to find my mojo. lol
It’s been a while since I’ve sat down and written anything.
I’m going to post more often but it might be some older stuff from DUP.

What! Of course you should’ve been made! All of my bad luck, you are my salvation!
You don’t write “dark” much. But obviously you can when it hits ya. The plethora of details within the write make it full, like a bag of candy when trick or treating. (That black cat I saw a few weeks ago was right outside my front door this evening!).
Haunting write, my Morticia,LOL. -
Hahahaha. There’s your word plethora!! You crack me up up.
Me a good luck charm? I feel a pandora charm coming on hehehehe
And you can’t take it back. I’m still your salvation but you have to take me shopping for girl stuff!
Thank you lover !!-
I was telling Glen, at work, about my boots you got me! He was asking about when is the hat happening. LOL. I told him I’m more a ball cap guy.
