    For Nothing

For years I felt I deserved whatever Karma had in store for me The physical pain, the sleepless nights, the troubles in the horizon For every mirror I broke I joked seven more were added to the curse When I reflected on...

      • Thank you Damian. I think as we grow older and see things in a different way, we come to understand our selves more. Glad this resonated with you.

    • hello dearest ME I myself don’t know where my poems come from this a great glance into your soul ❤️

      • I believe my poems are a part of me. They come from my subconscious. 🙂
Thank you my friend for reading and support! Highly apprecited! <3

    • Thank you, Damian! Highly appreciated “)

    • This is a hell of a write, my friend — very powerful; but I see a typo, I think, when you wrote, “In a battle of write and earse” when I believe that last word should be “erase,” yes?

Also, you may not be aware of the big LISTEN button that now lives on this page and no doubt many more of yours as well as many others who labour but are not aware of our unwanted AI reader who has hitch-hiked on the work of everyone who has not attached the #excludetx tag to their work.

      • Thank you brother for reading and the comment. Also for both the correction and exclude tag. I appreciate it! “)

    • This is quite mind-blowing.

I admire the punchy and reflective lines through each stanza.

I can sense this is a personal piece, it describes an emotional journey taking place.

It is enlightening and tragic at the same time.

A pleasure to take in. x

      • Thank you, Rosie C! It means so much to me. It is indeed a personal piece. “)

    • Dude…This is a kick ass piece. Your writings always intrigue me.

    • That carries a stark rhythm, the triple negation (“no man shall endure nor beast”) gives it a biblical, almost covenantal tone. The phrase “monstrous loneliness” works well because it personifies isolation as something with appetite and form. Appreciate you.

      • Thank you PAR for reading and the feedback! I appreciate you as well. “)

    • A great mystery unfolds. The nature of the muse.
      Regards James

    Bodies Molding To One

Planting a kissover your heart, our love blossomed.  The roots of our pastgrew distant, deep into your soul.  This memory shared, like two vines tangling, blossoming roses of love.  This fire, loosening our guardbefore our clothes.  This love-making,two hearts melting, then molding to one.  Beneath a damp sheet, this bodytangles with...

The Things a Drunk Will Do

Before dawn, Highway 6 bridge. Mallard ducks wobble across wet pavement. I scatter bread, grab my big black garbage bag, take a few morning swigs to knock off the shakes, vomit it back up.   City sleeps, dumpsters smell of rot. I climb in, sifting through cat shit, discarded...

    • Powerfully penned, Thomas. Excellent write with precise imagery my friend. This was raw and real brother. Appreciate you.

      Damian

    • Another dark slice of the side of life most of us abhor and pretend isn’t there at all. It is so difficult trying to picture you there, my friend, so hard to think of anyone other than make believe movie made bums living hard, rough lives no real, educated man who writes so beautifully could possibly live among and be himself, hanging on to humanity by the slenderest thread. You show me parts of myself in these seedy climes, just another few tarifs or heists of my rent away from joining you on your morning quests. You bring tears to my tired morning eyes.

    • Thanks, my friend. I appreciate it.

    • Freaking great piece with the real life descriptions dude, tight work

    • Much appreciated.

    • “trying not to get hit by their apathy,
      daylight swallowing my quiet survival.”

That right there sums up so much in this world. Identity means nothing without a trendy label to too many. And those struggling to survive, invisible. The undecided dawn was one helluva exclamation point on the situation. Another solid piece of reality
