Easier said than done, my friend. Still.. all we can do is our best – to live and let live. When my trust, belief and love take a hit I will remember to revisit this write. Inspiring message, thank you for the share.

I’ve always tried to hold the words “you don’t know” in the back of my mind with others. You don’t know their story, you don’t know how far they’ve fallen or how far they’ve come. You just don’t know, so don’t judge. I’ve always felt differences were beautiful. It’s what adds texture to humanity. Another fantastic write, my friend
-
Thanks so much for reading and your kind words, Willow. So glad you connected with the write my friend. I agree, when one doesn’t know, all they can do is assume. Assumption is the mother of all fuck ups! In my honest opinion. Differences are what makes each of us unique, I embrace that. Always dig your commentary. Appreciate you.

You never know the truths behind someones personality. Message is clear & optimistic. Well done Damian.
-
Our differences spice up and beautify our lives. They offer a wonderful opportunity to learn more about this world and all its varieties.
Even if it is about the topic you absolutely don’t agree, don’t judge or hate. This makes the situation even worse. Try to stay open-minded and compassionate instead and your mind will be free to find the best solution.
An awesome and brilliantly written poem, dear Damien! -
A beautiful and insistent plea for universal acceptance. Its rhythmic, repeated structure powerfully drives home the message that true connection requires us to simply “judge not” those who are different. Resonates in every line and leaves a quiet, lasting impact.

Good write, Damian. There’s always that “Lord Of The Flys” affect when too many egos are involved. I’m glad you broke away.
-
Sometimes when we opt to bow out, we find amazing things. Where you go will always be determined by you that way. What they do? As my daughter would say, that’s a them problem. Fly, my friend!
-
I’ve been there. I know the animosity that grows over time slowly until it boils over. It’s very disappointing after it’s all over and done. It keeps going through your mind even years later. Good one, Damian.

We are always in a state of change. I’m trying to let go of past events. People may read a piece or two about enduring an horrific childhood but there comes a point to emerge as the survivor and not dwell on what can’t be changed.
-
That’s some fantastic venting. “Blame everyone not named you”. I been butting heads lately with someone like this.
Great ink.

As I’m new here and don’t know your story and I don’t know the background to your write here but I loved it’s raw energy the swearing 🤬 even and the emotion the regrets (if any )self doubt of your decision (probably not ) and the style so
When you gotta go you just gotta go ! A new chapter awaits you -
Wow, that’s incredibly raw and honest. You really capture the intensity and eventual breaking point of that kind of toxic partnership. It’s great to hear your creativity has resurfaced– you definitely ended on the strongest note by realizing you decide when to bow out.
-
Thanks so much for reading and your kind words, Roma. So glad you connected with the write my friend. It was definitely toxic, it took me getting sober and about two and a half years before I started writing again. Then I was at DUP for about 10 months before it closed. It was because of that community I found myself again. I moved here with some of them and am watching the Stars Rite community grow into something special, this is my home now. Sorry for rambling on, I do that sometimes. lol. Appreciate you.

I wish I could hear the music behind it. Perhaps someday we’ll get a glimpse of your energy and fire within your lyrics. Good one, Damian.

Thanks so much for reading and your kind words, Tim. So glad you connected with the lyrics my friend. Well through GarageBand and Logic Pro, I’m working on that. lol. The problem with not being able to play an instrument, is that it only leaves a few options. So I’m working on a solo album to give these old lyrics a home, there will be new lyrics as well. Appreciate you.

I sincerely hope this one makes the album cut! I so badly wanna hear it! It moves like a snake, undulates down the page. Perfect for the lyrics, my friend
-
Thanks so much for reading and your kind words, Willow. So glad you connected with lyrics my friend. I plan on this one making the cut, I’ve always wanted “Wicked” to have music again. It had music in 97, but it was never recorded. Thanks for your continued support it means a lot to me. Appreciate you.

Dear D,
You still got it. An incredible meter. Made me want to sing this. The imagery played in my head of a dark bus stop. Why? No clue. But the players in this piece for me, were intertwined. Trying to run but wanting to stay. I have a longer version running in my head but I’ll spare you the directors cut😊
Wonderful write. H🌷 -

Just reading Honoria’s comment above & I think she’s right. This one might need to be considered for your lyrics list on the album. It has a cadence that moves & the visual is captivating. Worth considering, my friend? 🤔

Thanks so much for reading and your kind words, Willow. So glad you connected with the write my friend. Anything is on the table, maybe even spoken word. Never say never. The song I’m working on, I literally had to start writing lyrics to it. None of the old words were fitting the vibe. Also, I haven’t tried to write a song for many summers now. I kinda forgot sometimes the music leads the dance. lol. Appreciate you.

Great message. Unfortunately I’m in a bit of a pissy mood with people these days. Wish we could all just not judge.
Great ink
