    Voices in Motion

The windwill not stop sighing—soft, insistent, foreign—hour upon hour... It runs the fields, threads through trees, hissing night into day. It summons—warns—whispers somethingI cannot, alone, perceive. The wind will not stop sighingas it slides over cold, sullen waters, bending brown marsh grass low, imploring the roaming thrushes—some sharp,...

    • I am sighing with the wind. this is lovely and soft

    • hauntingly written dearest Tim the trees know what it says ❤️

    • One can never cage the wind. Can’t silence it. We can cover our ears but it carries on. That’s strength and resilience there. Unstoppable. Nicely done!

    • We have been expecting rain all week. We get the dark clouds over head but no wind came.
The wind came today and brought the rain.
It gives you signs and warnings in its own way/voice.
      Enjoyed the read!!

    • Here, three days of high winds, no rain. But 30 mph plus winds. It’s invigorating, except when you’re trying to sleep and stuff is moving around outside. LOL
Exceptional write, Tim. We all can relate, yet you nailed the descriptive nature of it. Excellent.

      • I’m the same way. I hate wind when I’m trying to sleep and it feels like the house is going to fall down. Thank you, Styx.

    • Tim this is one of my favorites of yours. Love the lyricism here the enchants and closes on a darker theme. You really wrote a poem that sparkles in my mind’s eye as I read. I could feel this in my heart and body as I read. I could see the wind blowing the marsh grass and the scene was quite amazing. You really have the gift with writing imagery that mesmerizes.

    Cumulus People

Their heads are in the clouds.   They seem to float with eyes content staring into cell phone screens, soaking up dopamine like hummingbirds hovering above nectar.   I watch them, witness them on streets, benches, trains.   Their moods are contemplative as they wander from here to there.   Wandering down streets, meandering above the ground.   They roam like clouds, seemingly unaware of...

    • AKA zombies. The world is tuning out more and more. Thankfully we all have us here! In a way, writing makes us leaders. Not followers. By the examples of “life” we bring in.
      Awesome write, Tim.

    • This is an amazing poem that depicts with great poetic virtuosity the modern matrix of cell phones and virtual connections that seems to replace the human element in social interaction. Truly artfully crafted poem that is as lyrical as it is mesmerizing.

    • Hi,
Your lines so much logic and math words. Excellent English and rhythm flow.

You are great, i don’t know poetry can be so good with technical words.

    • This is brilliant, my friend. The collision of mathematical or physical terms and the vivid and figurative imagery with many references hauntingly points to the difficulties to explain the inexplicable.

    The Consuming Flame

Before this flame  I fall again,   Into shaken bliss,  Adrift, trembling, consumed   Begging to be hostage  Of the current's kiss,   In your carnal heated waters. I long to be covered,  To drown  In this dream of fire,   I ache with pleasure, Unchained, unbound.   Before that flame  I rise again,   Into trembling bliss. Awake, breathless,...
