I feel that you pulled a lot of Greek mythology inspiration here? I could be wrong. I like the piece

I think many of us feel like machines. We work 9-5 jobs…like factory work, restaurant work…I did both.
Watched the clock…tried to have fun, but machines don’t laugh or cry.
This poem has a sense of rhythm that matches that routine…and the rhyme scheme is subtle but smart.

Really enjoyed and felt this read….related from my days before I got lucky and found teaching.

Poets bare their natures. Right now mine is stormy with anger.
I don’t want to hide under the blanket.
Like you say….too much going on and the blanket is too damp to ignore.

I have done a fair amount of cursing in my day, Fia.

Sometimes it feels like certain people are drawn into your life for different reasons, not always for communication or connection, but for maybe even deeper philosophical meanings than even those can provide (I recommend all the Stoics, of course) It always pays to patient…and observant. Good form and thoughtfulness.
